Bolivia is a country in South America with a size of about 424,000 square miles and a 2018 population of about 11.1 million people. Slightly over one-quarter of the country lies within the Andes Mountains. La Paz and Sucre both play a role as Bolivia's capital. Sucre (formerly La Plata) was the capital at the time of Bolivia's independence and the 2009 Constitution describes Sucre as the capital.
The city also hosts Bolilvia's Supreme Court. La Paz, however, served as Bolivia's capital throughout much of the twentieth century and the city still has the Presidential Palace and the National Congress.

Clivia is a genus of flowering plants that is commonly referred to as bush lilies or Natal lilies. Natal lilies are found in southern Africa and are adapted to low-light environment in forested areas. The flowers are generally colored in the yellow to orange to red range. "Clivia miniata" is the specific species most commonly cultivated by gardeners.

Livia Drusilla (58 BC - AD 29) was the second wife of Augustus Caesar (Octavian), leader of the Roman Empire. Her first husband and father of her two children was Tiberius Claudius Nero, who was forced to divorce Livia when Augustus wished to marry her.
Her elder son Tiberius would become Emperor after the death of Augustus in AD 14. She has been portrayed in many television series including "Rome", "I, Claudius" and "The Caesars".

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Menevia is located in Swansea, Wales, and covers the southwestern portion of that country. Established in 1898, the diocese has St. Joseph's Cathedral (Swansea Cathedral) as its diocesan cathedral. As of 2013, the total population of the diocese was about 830,000, with a Catholic population of about 26,000.

The story line of the song features the singer engaged in a phone call with Sylvia's mother who he is trying to get help him reunite with Sylvia (presumably his ex-girlfriend).
