 It's true that the Wizard and the Lover are later discovered to be the same person, but at this point, he is the Lover, not the Wizard.

 "Thank Goodness" is the only song that the "Unlimited..."lyrics don't appear in.

Answer: matching exterior

 Stephen Schwartz also did "Pippin" and it is so obvious when you look at the parallels between those songs and these. This one almost directly corresponds to "Corner of the Sky", or the 'I Want Song' by the musical play formula.

Answer: She's blonde

 While Elphaba tells her Father she doesn't like Galinda because she's Blonde, Galinda tells her parents that Elphaba is "Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe..." instead of just saying she is green.

 Going back to the correlations between "Wicked" and "Pippin", this one goes right to the one Bertha sings. I think the name is "In No Time at All".

 In the book by Gregory Maguire, Fiyero is not at all like he is in the play. The character of Fiyero in the play is the character of Averic in the book. Averic shows up in the play as the guy who drops Fiyero at Shiz.

 "Defying Gravity" ends the first act, "A Sentimental Man" comes just before "Defying Gravity" and "Wonderful" comes after "Thank Goodness". The first song in the second act is a reprise of "No One Mourns the Wicked," which also opens the first act.

 I saw Joel Grey as the Wizard. For a guy his age, he still moves very well.

 The whole concept of "spin" is illustrated in this song.

Answer: Glinda

 At this point, she has changed her name from Galinda to Glinda, in honor of the disappearance of their Animal professor Dr. Dillamond.

 I think this is such a passionate song. More passionate then most love songs on Broadway get, without getting humorous.

 It's really cool the way Magurie tied "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" into the book. The way he also ties in the Scarecrow in by saying that Fiyero may have been turned into him. According to the book, he wasn't, but according to the play, he was.
