Boo is a white shepherd mix. Odd says he thinks he is part Labrador, he moves with the grace of fog, and weighs 110 pounds. He is introduced early in the book, and there is a picture of him opposite the title page.

He sees bodachs. He describes them as ink-black fluid creatures that float. They have appendages but are not human-looking; they look more like wolves or dogs. The more that are in one area, the worse the devastation. They come in through keyholes, chimneys, and cracks in doorways.

He calls them bodachs because a little boy said he saw them too (calling them by this name) ... then was hit by a truck.

There are many, many references to the weather in this novel. Many times he talks about the snow and ice. Once, a nun griped about Odd coming through the room with his wet boots on.

Brother Timothy was responsible for the mechanical systems of the abbey and the school. He is also the one with the Kit Kat cravings and blushes brightly and frequently.
Brother Knuckles (Brother Salvatore) was a criminal in the civilian world. He has spoken of the story with the rabbit in it that turned his life around.
Brother Maxwell would probably be best remembered as the monk guarding Jacob's room with a baseball bat. He demolishes two of the bone creatures with help from Brother Knuckles, Brother Fletcher, and Brother Gregory.
There is never mention of a Brother Aaron.

Answer: Jacob

Odd's intuition led him to Jacob's room where he was constantly sketching his mother. Odd had to come back again later and question him some more to get all the information he needed.

Answer: Wyatt Porter and Father Llewellyn

Wyatt Porter is the chief of police in Pico Mundo. Father Llewellyn was Odd's girlfriend's (Stormy Llewellyn) uncle before she died in book one. Terry was Odd's boss at the Pico Mundo Grill where he was a fry cook. Kyle James is a name I made up off the top of my head.

Odd found Brother Timothy hanging from fibrous bands up on the wall. He came back to life as Odd stood there watching, only it wasn't him anymore. He turned into a bone creature later called a dog of the Neverwas.

He grabbed the first thing he saw. The bat came into play later in the story and the dog, Boo, was with him for a while. It ran away and probably would not have made a very good weapon anyway.

Kind of tricky, I know. Elvis actually haunts Odd Thomas, Death is there for what is to come, and Brother Aaron does not exist.

Because of the way the bones move and change shape, Odd said they reminded him of a kaleidoscope of bones. It is called the dog of the Neverwas later in the book and is never called the devil.

It breaks down into a cube, then disappears. At this point, Odd tells the brothers a little bit about his gift.

He is the Russian Rodion Romanovich. He likes to bake and tells Odd he was a librarian and a mortician. Odd doesn't trust him at first, but eventually they start working together.

The other sign reads "Per Omnia Saecula Saeculorum" which means 'Forever and ever'.

He is telling Odd Thomas something that he overheard when he was very young and very ill. He called the bad man the Neverwas. He said, "He's the Neverwas and I don't care." It turns out that it was his father saying that he did not care if Jacob died. His father, Odd found out, was Brother John who lived a solitary life in his mew.

A floppy is a cross between a puppy, kitten, bunny,and a hamster. It was white with big blue eyes. It made a funny burbling sound and gave Odd the creeps because its eyes were vacant. Brother John had created it out of thin air.

It comes to the window, breaks through it, and attacks. Brother Knuckles hits it with a bat while Brother Fletcher gets Jacob out and Brother Maxwell backs Knuckles up.

He showed Odd Thomas his NSA badge to gain his trust; however, he did not get it until Sister Angela vouched for him.

He sees Elvis many times throughout the series of books. He dresses in different costumes from his movies every time Odd sees him. He is sometimes goofy but sometimes very melancholy and cries.

Answer: Pico Mundo

His friend, Ozzie Boone, came to pick him up and take him home to Pico Mundo. All the monks and nuns were there to say goodbye.
