1. What was the title under which Hemingway's novel 'The Sun Also Rises' was published for the first time in England in 1927?

Answer: Fiesta

The title as used for the American edition in 1926,New York, Charles Scribner's Sons,refers to a quote from 'Ecclesiastes': 'The Sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteneth' to his place where he arose. And that which is done, is that which shall be done, and there is no new thing made under the Sun.' In 1927 Jonathan Cape,in London used the title which Hemingway himself had originally wanted. Death in the Afternoon was also published by Scribner's Sons.(1932).According to Amazon A Moveable Feast was published posthumously in 1964.The Arrow Classic edition however says it was published in the U.K. in 1936, which is simply impossible as the book itself has a preface by Hemingway dated 1960.

It is a memoir of fellow expatriates in Paris such as Fitzgerald, Pound and Stein.
