Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Delah" is a word often accompanied by a wave of the hand, but what does it mean?

Answer: Many

Delah is a word from the Gilead High Speech, which Roland uses numerous times throughout the series.
2. Two people throughout the series are referred to as "dan-tete". What sort of person would they be?

Answer: Little Saviour

A word use to refer to both Mordred - the 'little saviour' or child god of End-World - and John Cullum, who rescues Eddie and Roland from Balazar's men.
3. What would you be doing if you were cozening?

Answer: Deceiving

A world Roland uses to describe, among others, Ben Slightman the Elder, who rats on the Calla-folk to the Wolves
4. Mia introduces the word "Prim", which makes Susannah think of women who pull their skirt over their knees. What does it really mean?

Answer: Creating Force

A word Mia uses to describe part of the original make-up of the universe - essentially the primordial ooze of the magic world, also associated with Gan. It is in opposition with "Am", the mortal world.
5. Roland is told someone will rustle up a sandwich for him, which he finds shocking. In his language, "russel" means:

Answer: To rape

I can see this causing seriously translation issues. Anyone out there called Russell... just thank Gan the books aren't real... probably.
6. If someone tells you they hear kammen, what do they hear?

Answer: Todash chimes

A sound so beautiful and horrible it makes the eyes water. Plus there's always the vagrant dead and Black Thirteen to worry about.
7. If you were told to do something jin-jin, how would you do it?

Answer: Quickly

As in "answer the rest of my quiz, and do it jin-jin!"
8. What occupation would you have if you were a sh'veen?

Answer: Side-wife

Literally means "quiet little woman" or gilly - Susan Delgado was intended as such to Hart Thorin.
9. If you were involving yourself in telamei, what would you be doing?

Answer: Gossiping

Telamei sounds like people gossiping - "Tell-a-me, tell-a-me"
10. If I were hunting a herd of bannock, what would I be looking forward to eating?

Answer: Buffalo

Bannock are Buffalo, an animal far away, until Patrick Danville feels the need to draw them closer - so to speak.
11. What does the word "Na'ar" mean?

Answer: Hell

A Manni word - interestingly, Naar is a word for an Islamic state of burning in hellfire.
12. If you went to work as a scrip, what would your occupation be?

Answer: Lawyer

Aaron Deepneau used to be a Scrip - or lawyer - he drew up the contract when Tower sold the Tet Corporation the vacant lot.
13. If i were telling you something ka-me what sort of information would I be giving you?

Answer: Wise

The opposite of Ka-Mai - meaning foolishly.
14. Being called a seppe-sai is a dubious honour. What is a seppe-sai?

Answer: Death-seller

A name Gabrielle Deschain gave to the pie maker in Gilead - but that'll happen when meat pies are left in the summer sun.
15. What sort of beer is graf?

Answer: Apple-beer

The people of River Crossing give them this beer at first, but it is mentioned many times after. Sounds like cider - but more eye-wateringly alcoholic.
