This takes place after the fight with the Eldrak. C'Nedra has a great fondness for trees because she is part Dryad.

Book 2 of "The Mallorean"
At an Erastide party in Tol Honeth, the scheduled entertainment was unavailable to sing because of the weather. Liselle began the song and was joined by C'Nedra. In the encore, Polgara joined in, bringing back a version she had known thousands of years before in Vo Wacune.

It was outside of Winold in Sendaria and it was cold out. At the end, in "Seeress of Kell," Silk reminds Garion of this quote, then says he's had time to think it over and has changed his mind. Of course, he says it with a grin, so we know he is kidding.

This was just before Ran Borune died. After eating some, Ran Borune asks Garion if he can show him his late wife, C'Vanne. Garion does and Ran Borune dies smiling.

Belgarath had given the Fenlings the ability to speak at Vordai's request. The frog may have been the beginnings of a sense of humor. The Fenlings appear again in "Guardian of the West."
