Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of Mirtai's bandy-legged beau?

Answer: Kring

Kring is Domi (chief) among his people, and a fierce warrior. He and Mirtai make a perfect match, even though Mirtai towers above her beau.
2. Who serves as Mirtai's mother during her rite of passage?

Answer: Ehlana

Mirtai's parents were killed when she was seven years old, and she was sold into slavery. Mirtai believes Ehlana has been her best owner yet, and she shyly asks Ehlana to act as her mother during this important ceremony.
3. Who does Kalten think Alean is in love with?

Answer: Berit

This is the first time Kalten has ever been in love, and he is very insecure at first. Because Alean sings "My Bonnie Blue-eyed Boy", and Berit has blue eyes, Kalten mistakenly thinks Alean is in love with Berit.
4. Which of these names is not associated with the child-goddess?

Answer: Ehlana

Ehlana is the Queen of Elenia. Danae is Ehlana's daughter, but also the child-goddess Aphreal. She also appears to the knights as flute.
5. Who is the Cammorian thief who poses as Ehlana's procurer of antiquities?

Answer: Caalador

Caalador is from Cammoria, on the other side of the world, but he had to run when he got caught stealing chickens and ended up on the Daresian Continent.
6. Who was behind the attack that killed Sephrina's family?

Answer: Zalasta

Zalasta was extremely jealous of the child-goddess Aphreal, and he hoped her human incarnation could be killed, so he inflamed some local Elenes, who destroyed everyone in the village. Sephrina and Aphrael were not in town at the time.
7. What was Sabre's real name?

Answer: Elron

Elron was very immature, and he thrived on the conspiracy he participated in. He was the brother-in-law of a minor landowner in Astel, and was very easy for Scarpa to corrupt.
8. What ultimately happened to Zalasta?

Answer: He was set on fire eternally

The troll-god of fire is very upset with Zalasta because he kidnapped Ehlana, and he feels that justice is served by setting him on fire and letting him run forever.
9. Who is Anakha?

Answer: Sparhawk

Anakha means "man with no destiny", and all the Gods fear sparhawk because they cannot see his future.
10. Which of the Church Knights goes back to Chyrellos to bring back the rest of the Church Knights to Daresia?

Answer: Tynian

Tynian is injured in the shoulder, and needs time to heal, so when it becomes necessary to send someone back to Chyrellos to fetch the Church Knights, Tynian volunteers to go.
