Carmen Todd owns a 7-bedroomed, 4-storey house in Chelsea. She used to share the house with her husband Spike until he died. Now she shares it with her best friend Nancy, Nancy's mother Rose and her brother-in-law Rennie.

Mia starts to laugh and finally lets Nancy in on the truth, that Connor IS her dad.

It's a children's charity that organizes days out for sick children. Joe comes to the house to collect the things from Rennie and meets Carmen. He then asks her to go to the charity ball and auction with him and they have a relationship.

Joe pretended to fall in love with Carmen but all he really wanted from her was enough money to set up his own plumbing business. His ex-girlfriend had called round to the house a few day previously and spoken to Rennie. She had warned him that Joe was only after Carmen's money but Carmen refused to listen and tried to throw Rennie out of her house. Joe then asked for the money and Carmen realised that Rennie was right all along and ended her relationship with Joe after he went ballistic because she wouldn't give him the money.

Sadie Sylvester, or Cyanide Sadie as Mia likes to call her, is Connor's demanding, spoilt, control freak fitness instructor girlfriend. She always makes everyone around her feel uncomfortable and deeply dislikes Mia.

Marjorie tells this to Rose after Geoffrey receives the news that his mother died. Geoffrey couldn't tell his mother that he was a homosexual so he married Marjorie and they had a very unhappy marriage. Then one morning the matron of his mother's nursing home called to tell them that she'd died.

He sat at the table, buttered his toast and Marjorie asked him if he was alright. He said, "Yes thank you, absolutely fine. I'm a homosexual."

Biba Keyes was somebody that Rennie slept with in New York. He tells Carmen that he's in love with her then a journalist knocks on the door, telling him that Biba is pregnant and that she's named him as the father. Carmen tells him that they can't be together because this was a reminder of the way Rennie lives his life, even though he swears he's changed.

It turns out not to be his anyway. Biba was a party girl who frequently sells stories.

Everyone knows that Zac is gay - everyone except his dad. Zac is not comfortable telling his dad for fear that he might disown him or be disappointed. Mia thinks it's not right that William doesn't know his son's gay, so she asked him if he thought Connor would disown her if she was gay.

She then told him that she wasn't gay and that Zac was. It turned out William was more than OK with it and was a little annoyed that Nancy pretended to be Zac's girlfriend just for his benefit.

Rose takes him on a sightseeing trip around London. He thinks it's not working because it's going around so slowly and Rose points out that it is working, and that she thought the same thing when she first saw it.

Kate is Tabitha's middle name. She was 'saving' Tabitha for when she got a job in financial journalism. Nancy discovers this when one of Zac's designer bags appears in the fashion pages of the local newspaper. She calls the phone number given at the bottom of the page and is surprised when Tabitha answers the phone. Tabitha then confesses that she is the fashion editor for that particular paper and that she was the one who put Zac's bag in there.

While Big Russ was an alcoholic and homeless, they hadn't fallen out. She hadn't told anyone at the homeless shelter where she volunteered that she used to be married to a rock star and she didn't want anyone to find out. Big Russ used to be a roadie for the band that he husband was in.

She gave him some money to get down to Cornwall (which was where he was heading for in the first place) so he couldn't recognise her and tell everyone who she was.

She took all her clothes off, super glued herself to a brass lion and hung a banner that said 'Animals Have Feelings Too!'. While this DID cause Connor great embarrassment, that wasn't the reason she was doing it. When the police asked him if he was Mia's father, he actually pretended not to know her.

A friend of hers recommended her for the job and she was accepted after submitting a report on mutual funds, futures and annuities. She decides to take the job when she and Connor split up.

Rennie is then called away from a film premiere to come and collect her.

After Rennie and Carmen got together he took her down to Nice for a few days, and Rose was staying with William for the weekend in Weston-Super-Mare. This was when Connor decided to tell Nancy that he had feelings for her.

"Don't worry, I'm still impressed." Feeling she couldn't afford to be magnanimous, Nancy said "You remembered that I like Maltesers"

Reaching up to kiss him, Nancy said happily, "And no-one's ever decorated a bath sponge for me before."
