Quotes from the Anita Blake Series Quiz

First heard in "Blue Moon", Anita says this to Asher when begging him to save Nathaniel's life. It translates as "my goldfinch", but means so much more to all three of them. "Ma petite" is Jean-Claude's nickname for Anita. "Mon amour" means my love, which Anita does once call Asher, but it's not really a nickname. "Mon cherie", which means "my beloved", is Asher's nickname for Anita.

From "The Lunatic Cafe". Anita says this about Jean-Claude and Richard. Although she's been in all four situations, in which she has trouble both in front of her and behind her, she only says it this one time.

Anita says this in "Guilty Pleasures." She's commented more than once since then that women's dress-up clothes and weapons don't mix, although she has found some very inventive ways to carry them concealed under formal clothing. Although I can usually get something from my purse faster than 12 minutes, she is right that it would never be in time if someone was pulling a gun on me and I needed to get to mine.

From "Narcissus in Chains". Ronnie says this after Anita has refused to bring her as back-up to the dominance club for which the book is named. Ronnie has killed twice- both times to protect Anita, but she would rather not shoot people if she doesn't absolutly have to, something Anita has no problems doing.

Also from "Narcissus in Chains", this is from the scene where they're trying to tell Anita she might be Nimir-Ra for real. All of her were-leopards are afraid to tell her, which is ironic because they comment later in the book that they're not afraid of her because she doesn't try to be scary to them.

In "Cerulean Sins", Anita finds out first-hand that Asher's bite causes both instant orgasm and obsession. Anita comments that it's the kind of pleasure a person would die for. Luckily, it also bonds her to him in such a way that he can feed off of her power.

Jean-Claude has a history of picking out outfits Anita finds very uncomfortable and often embarassing. They generally consist of strips of leather strategically placed, velvets, laces, and knee-length or higher boots with very large heels. Here, she's talking about the outfit he had made for the Lukoi's meeting.

In "Cerulean Sins", she and Jason get to know each other a *little* bit better. Afterwards, he tells her this, explaining that from Nathaniel and Asher she keeps actual intercourse, From Micah -and obviously Jason- she keeps love, and although she says she kept nothing from Richard, she never truly accepted his being a werewolf.

He has given her sawed-off shotguns, a mini-Uzi or two, knives, and other fun toys. Edward even talked her into having the wheel-well in her car modified so she could carry more weapons.

Musette has a temper, and Belle Morte was afraid of her being killed. She knows Jean-Claude will kill Musette if he can, for he says in "Cerulean Sins" that to kill her legally and without reprucussions has been the dream of many Master Vampires.
