Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the type of Klatchian currency was found in the room of the would-be assassin, Ossie?

Answer: Wols

The "Hagats" and "Ginra" currencies do not exist, a "rhinu" is from the Agatean Empire, and "wols" are, indeed, from Klatch.
2. Who believed, when Vetinari was arrested for treason, that the Patrician should be wearing more chains?

Answer: Vetinari

Vetinari: "Treason is very nearly the ultimate crime, Sir Samuel. I think I should demand handcuffs."
3. What is the first name of Solid Jackson's son?

Answer: Les

Les seemed to have a lot more sense than his father.
4. Which of the following items of food did Leonard take on board the trip to Leshp?

Answer: Garlic sausage

As well as garlic sausage, Leonard brought along cheese and beans. Nobby and Colon weren't very happy with the arrangement.
5. Where does Vetinari believe is a sports equipment shop?

Answer: Sheer Street

He told Vimes this in case he wanted to get a hurdle. As Vetinari was accused of treason, if he was going to executed he would have to be dragged along on a hurdle.
Vetinari: "Oh yes, I don't have to be dragged on a hurdle, do I?"
Carrot: "Only if you're actually executed, my lord. Traditionally, traitors are dragged to their place of execution on a hurdle. And then you're hung, drawn and quartered. I know about the hanging and quartering but I'm not sure how you're drawn, sir."
6. How much was Sidney Lopsides paid a day from Ankh-Morpork funds to wear a sack over his head?

Answer: Two dollars

Apparently this was because if he didn't wear the sack, and someone saw him, they would have the feeling that they were upside down for the rest of the day.
7. What is the colour of Rust's eyes?

Answer: Blue

Rust had a highly infuriating personality, and if anything happened that he believed couldn't possibly happen (for example his orders being disobeyed by a mere sergeant) he would simply erase the cause of the problem from his mind.
8. Who is the senior corporal in the Watch?

Answer: Nobby Nobbs

Nobby Nobbs had so far never been promoted any further up.
9. Had Goriff paid his annual fee to the Thieves Guild?

Answer: Yes

This meant that while Goriff's place may be robbed etc., it wouldn't be by a member of the Thieves Guild.
10. One of the reasons Sam Vimes agreed to become a duke was because the Patrician agreed to have a statue made of him.

Answer: False

One of the reasons Sam Vimes agreed to become a duke was because the Patrician, Havelock Vetinari, agreed to make a statue, but it wasn't of him. It was of Vimes' ancestor, Stoneface Vimes.
