It is known that Darth Vader has trained several apprentices. One such apprentices was Shira Brie, or Lumiya, the Dark Lady. She is in fact mentioned in the book where it touches on her unique weapon, a lightwhip and her involvement with Palpatine as an Emperor's Hand.

Others include Kharys, Hethrir and Rillao, and Flint Torul. Anakin Skywalker also trained Ashoka Tano during the Clone Wars, while he was still a Jedi.

Answer: Galen

His real name was Galen Marek; Starkiller was a codename. Yakown Reth was a pilot for the New Republic who fought the Yuuzahn Vong. Kento Marek was Galen's Jedi father.

Answer: His father told him in a vision

Starkiller entered a hut on Kashyyyk, his home planet, and had a vision involving the Force Ghost of his father. He learned then that Darth Vader had killed his father and taken him when he was a child. He also found his father's blue lightsaber crystal. Later, he trusted Juno with his birth name.

As far as I know, PROXY never knew his real name. Bail Organa did discover who Starkiller had been by searching Imperial Records, but he spoke of this after Galen was dead. Galen's mother, Mallie, was killed by Trandoshans who were hired by the Seperatists shortly after Galen's birth.

Answer: Kazdan Paratus

Rahm Kota is blinded, but doesn't die in the book. Shaak Ti was killed on Felucia later in the story. Dathka Graush was a Sith King who, interestingly enough, had his heart replaced with a Force-sensitive crystal and created an army of dead bodies using Sith Alchemy long before this story takes place. Kazdan Partaus was a droid maker and Aleena Jedi of the Old Republic.

He survived Order 66, fleeing the Jedi Temple and abandoning those inside to their deaths. Consumed by guilt, and quite insane, he went into hiding on Raxus Prime where he constructed a new "Jedi Temple" and droid versions of dead Jedi Masters out of junk parts.

He had created droid mannequins of Plo Koon, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Mace Windu, Ki-Adi Mundi, Stass Allie, Agen Kolar, Shaak Ti, Saesee Tiin, Anakin Skywalker, Kit Fisto and Coleman Kcaj.

He even cried for them when Starkiller destroyed them. Eventually Paratus was beaten to death and pinned under an avalanche of falling junk, courtesy of Starkiller.

The paranoid Kazdan Paratus, it is presumed, had erased the records himself.

Galen does have a few visions of the future, and they are spot on. What he sees is Vader and the Emperor standing over his body, speaking about his own death. His actual death. In the vision the Emperor states, "Then he is more powerful than ever."

Answer: Its balance shifts to the dark side

The natives possess an innate Force sensitivity and without her they shifted to the dark side. Apparently Shaak Ti had been using her powers to keep the planet in check and maintain balance. In Chapter 25, when the apprentice returns to Felucia after the death of Shaak Ti, it says, "The balance had indeed shifted profoundly toward the dark side since his last visit." Also notably, the Mega Saarlac inhabiting the Ancient Abyss into which the Togruta Jedi Master had fallen, had died.

Answer: Her sense of self

At the expense of her conscience, Juno had followed the orders that led to the genocide and near complete destruction of the planet Callos, only to be labeled a traitor to the Empire. With nowhere to go and in love with a man she wasn't always sure she could trust, I can see why she had to work so hard to keep herself together. PROXY had been under the influence of the Core at time of his attack on Juno.

Answer: Despayre

Despayre, in the Horuz system, was a prison planet in the Outer Rim Territories. It was also the test site for the first Death Star, and the first planet to be destroyed by the weapon.

Answer: Used his family crest as a symbol for the rebel allance

This was one of the most interesting parts of the story for me. Juno had worried that Galen would be forgotten after the rebels found out the truth about his past. They were, however, very grateful for the sacrifice he had made, and it is revealed that Kota had at least suspected the truth all along. Princess Leia revealed the Marek family crest, a stylised raptor, that had been etched into the table in the hut where Galen had had the vision of his father and declared it, "A symbol of hope" for the alliance.
