Enoch Dumas ran "The Place" in Chicago, until the Trib Force safehouse was compromised. When he is first mentioned in this novel, he is in Palos Hills, Illinois and is the leader of a large number of believers that keeps growing daily.

The soldier is looting Buck's body from atop the wall. The phone doesn't work so he throws it down, where it lands at Mac's feet. The soldier then tries to get one of Buck's boots out of the wall and asks Mac to throw up the other one. Mac waits until the man is off balance and then throws the boot at him, hitting him in the nose. It knocks the guy off the wall and kills him.

Rayford can't talk or make himself open his eyes. All he can do is move a finger, but Smitty doesn't see that. So he decides to remove his hand from his head wound. He moves it about an inch, but Smitty doesn't catch the movement. He does however, see the blood start to run and realizes Ray is not dead.

When Suhail mentions New Babylon, which Nicolae has expressly forbidden, Suhail is sent to his quarters like a child. Later Nicolae instructs Commander Tenzin to beat Suhail to "near death" with a rattan rod, as he did another soldier. But when Chang takes over the GC airwaves again, Carpathia takes out his anger partly on Suhail by ordering him killed.

Then he orders one administrator's death per minute until GC controls the TV again.

Carpathia is dressed in a white ruffled shirt and the rest of his ensemble is black leather, including a hat and cape. With Leon in his purple Day-Glo get up, Mac thinks that it would have been more appropriate for Halloween.

The Euphrates drying up was the sixth bowl judgment. This allowed the GCUA troops to march toward Petra. These judgments can be found in Rev. 16:12-21.

The people of Petra are following Jesus to His next confrontation with Antichrist. They are supernaturally able to run faster than Smitty is driving, which is over 70 mph. And, they never even breathe hard.

The horses go blind and crazy. The soldiers' skin melts away and their bones are left behind in piles, then the flesh of the horses starts to melt, also. Carpathia's horse is not affected. Leon, having fallen off, then having lost his horse, chases Carpathia, begging for a ride.

The mountain split, creating a valley between Jesus and Carpathia's army and the army was again falling dead at the words of Christ. Then the "rebels" whom Carpathia had trapped in the Old City came rushing out.

Leon and Carpathia are cast into the lake of fire. The three demonic frog creatures are sentenced to "death", which is eternal separation from God and they were placed in Hell. Lucifer is bound in chains for 1,000 years, during which he will be kept in the bottomless pit. Eventually, Hell and the bottomless pit will be cast into the lake of fire, but not until the end of the Millennial Kingdom.

Otto and his band of believers that escaped from New Babylon before its destruction will be staying at an abandoned hotel. The married couples and single women of the Trib Force are staying with Elezear and his daughter, Naomi. All the single men will be staying with Chaim.

He asks who picked the fruit and she tells him that it just falls off the trees, and as soon as it does, the branches bring forth more and it ripens again almost instantly. There are not any specifics given on how the vegetables are harvested. I wonder if the potatoes are already dug up.

Jesus tells Hattie that she will wear the tiara for eternity because of the way she stood up to Antichrist and the False Prophet. Hattie was killed when she called down Carpathia and Leon. Leon sent a bolt of lightning, and Buck and Chaim gathered some of her ashes to spread at Petra.

"But after these things (Satan) must be released for a little while." There were apparently some people who were upset that certain things did not take place that Scripture says will happen. The authors' answer to this was that this book ends before those things happen, so they will write one more, and also a prequel to tell us about the characters' lives before the Rapture.
