Answer: Ming Toy

Ming Toy tells Leah that Hattie was released by the Global Community (GC) after they discovered that she was no longer pregnant with Nicolae Carpathia's child. Hattie was given a large sum of money in order to keep silent. Also, the GC was hoping that Hattie would lead them to the safe house of the Tribulation Force. Chang is Ming's brother (who is also a believer). Gerri Seaver and Tobias Rogoff are aliases used by Leah Rose and Chaim Rosenzweig, respectively.

Answer: A local bar Jakov liked

At first, Buck does search for Chaim at his house. Upon arriving there, however, he realizes that the mansion is being occupied by Global Community (GC) troops who are also looking for Chaim. While hiding from the GC guards, Buck discovers the bodies of Stefan, Jacov's wife Hannelore, and Hannelore's mother. Later, he remembers going with Chaim to a local bar where Jakov had often gotten drunk in his pre-conversion days. Chaim had indeed gone to hide there, after escaping the mayhem at the assassination.

Answer: The Strong Building

David selects the Strong Building, because it remains relatively livable even though most of the city had been destroyed. Thirty-nine floors were intact, with a spot for a helicopter pad. Additionally, because of the bombing that took place in Chicago earlier in the series, the Global Community feared that the city had high levels of radioactivity (a fear David corroborated by doctoring radioactivity reports.) To the best of my knowledge, there is no Strong Building in Chicago, but the other three buildings are existing Chicago landmarks.

The Drake Hotel was mentioned previously in the series (Buck stayed there).

Answer: Grew a mustache

When Rayford arrives in Greece, he is greeted at the airport by Laslos, Albie, and a man named Adon, whose responsibility it is to alter Rayford's appearance. He is an international fugitive at this point, wanted for conspiracy to assassinate Nicolae Carpathia. Apparently, his disguise is effective enough to fool Leah, who does not recognize him when she meets up with him later.

Answer: Chaim

Although the Global Community issued a warrant for Rayford's arrest, the real assassin was Chaim Rosenzweig. When Rayford accidentally fired his gun, Nicolae fell back towards Chaim's lap. Chaim removed a sharp blade from his wheelchair and stabbed him in the head with it.

The coroner concludes that Carpathia died instantly from his stabbing, and that the bullet from Rayford's gun did not cause Carpathia's death. However, Fortunato preferred to circulate the story that Rayford was the assassin, so the coroner changed her report to reflect Fortunato's wishes.

Answer: His ability to control minds

When Fortunato takes charge of the government, he emulates his hero (Nicolae) in many ways. However, David Hassid notes that although Fortunato has learned how to hold the interest of a crowd while giving a speech, he does not have the same charisma that caused the world to hang on Nicolae's every word.

He does not pull off the clothing very well either, according to David. Fortunato's language abilities are not brought up, but he does not display any newfound fluency in his speech. However, Fortunato does manage to change the coroner's mind about how Nicolae died via eye contact and the power of suggestion.

He tries this tack with David as well, and David almost succumbs, in spite of being a believer.

Answer: Tsion

Tsion's role in this section of the Left Behind series is not as active (in a physical sense) as that of many of the other Tribulation Force members. His jobs mainly include publishing his website for believers and taking care of Kenny. However, he has the incredible experience of leaving his own body and talking to the archangel Michael.

At a later time in the book, Tsion also sees and speaks with Gabriel. During both of these experiences, he sees Satan (in more than one form).

Answer: Killed in a plane crash

When T picks up Buck and Chaim to take them from Israel, one of the wheel assemblies is damaged. T is a skilled enough pilot that he manages to take off on one wheel (barely getting up to a high enough speed for takeoff), but admits that landing will be even more difficult.

He says that there is a fifty-fifty chance of being able to land, and opts to try for a belly crash landing in Greece. Unfortunately, the wheel assemblies are jammed in such a way that T cannot retract either the intact wheel or the severely damaged one.

This makes the landing even trickier than it was. However, T does manage to land the plane with a minimum of problems, although he does not survive the impact. Both Chaim and Buck are rather bruised and bloody, but neither is seriously injured.

Answer: Albie's

When the Tribulation Force learns that their safe house has been compromised, they rush back there to rescue Tsion and Kenny. However, a Global Community (GC) squad is approaching the house when they arrive. Albie, who has a GC commander uniform, tells the leader of the GC squad that they are mistaken in the timing of their raid on the safe house. (Albie says that the mission must be postponed out of respect for Nicolae's funeral.) This buys the Tribulation Force enough time to get Tsion and Kenny out, remove personal possessions, and destroy the house to conceal any evidence of their having been there.

However, the effectiveness of Albie's charade, his extensive knowledge of GC policy, and the mysterious way in which he produced a GC uniform caused Rayford to question his loyalties by asking to inspect his mark. Albie is extremely insulted, but allows Rayford to look at it.

However, the awkwardness of the situation does not allow Rayford to get complete verification (he sees the mark, but does not touch it) for fear of insulting Albie further. Rayford apologizes for questioning him, and decides to believe that Albie is loyal.

However, Albie is very angry and does not accept his apology.

Answer: Nicolae offers a reward for the capture of his assassin.

The giant statue of Nicolae that was ordered by Fortunato does several remarkable things during the Nicolae's funeral including glowing, speaking, and incinerating three regional potentates. Nicolae also rises from his display case, proclaiming his status as a god and warning his enemies (aka the Tribulation Force) that they do not know the meaning of tribulation yet. Nicolae does not offer a reward for capturing his assassin.

In fact, he pardons the killer, telling the crowd that no more time should be wasted looking for the assassin.
