"The Host" Characters Trivia Quiz

Answer: Wanda, Melanie, Wanderer

Wanderer is the soul's name translated and shortened for her Earth life. Wanda is a shortened version of her name given to her by the humans. Melanie is the name of Wanderer/Wanda's host body.

Jamie is Melanie's little brother. He's important, but not the main character.

Jamie and Pet aren't ever a couple because Pet is hardly even mentioned, she was just the Soul that was in Wanda's second human host before Wanda. Ian falls in love with Wanda while she is in Mel's body, and loves her even more when she gets a new body. Jared and Melanie were a couple before and after Wanda was in Mel's body. Kyle and Sunny become a couple at the very end of the book.

Jeb is the first one who fully accepts Wanda into their little family. Jamie and Doc follow suit shortly after. Sadly, it takes Jared a little longer to come around.

Jamie is still a teenager. Melanie is his older sister, so it's obviously not her. Jared is a few years older than Melanie, so it's not him either. Jeb is one of the oldest people in the human community, so there's no way it could be him.

Ian and Kyle are both kind of rough with Wanda in the beginning. They both land a couple of punches on her. Ian comes to like her quickly, but it takes Kyle until almost the end of the book to finally see that Wanda really isn't so bad.

Jared doesn't like Wanda at all in the beginning. The only reason he doesn't kill her is because she is in Melanie's body. He eventually starts to warm up to her, but it takes a while.

Melanie is stuck in Wanda's head. She tries so hard to escape, but she learns to love Wanda, and doesn't want her to die in the end. Jamie is adorable. He loves Wanda even though she is in control of his sister's body. He's so innocent, it's kind of funny.

The Fire Planet is the one planet that Wanderer wouldn't want to live on because it is so brutal. The others are previous planets that she's lived on. There are others as well; these are just a few of them.

The Bears were on the Mists Planet, the Bats were on the Singing World, and the Flowers were on the Flower Planet. The tree is something I just randomly came up with.

Answer: Yes, she's inserted into another body.

She survives. Doc takes her out of Mel's body and puts her into Pet's body. The original plan was that Doc would kill Wanda once she was out of Mel's body, but Jared wasn't going to have any of that.
