Edgar is owner of a very successful construction company in the Minneapolis - St Paul area.

Edgar remembers his name in the beginning through a series of connections - Jack talks about hurricanes in the area, Edgar thinks about The Weather Channel and the presenter, "the hurricane guy is Jim Cantore", and thus gets to Jack Cantori.

Edgar goes into a kind of trance while painting these pictures and often has little idea what he is painting until it is finished. When he finishes, he is generally starving.

Lake Phalen is located in the St Paul area of Minnesota and has an area of 198 acres and a recorded max depth of 91 ft. It is named after an Irish settler to the area Edward Phelan.
