Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was the Legionary who clung to life long enough to warn Keill away from the home planet, after the release of the deadly radiation?

Answer: Oni Wolda

Keill's ship had engine problems so he was late in responding to the emergency recall message from Moros.
He arrived just in time to witness the death of his planet and every living thing on it, and in spite of his childhood friend Oni Wolda's desperate warning, received a dose of radiation which would have killed him within weeks if not for the intervention of the mysterious Overseers.
2. The Legions were legendary and the entire planetary population could take the field in combat if necessary. Where were they the Legions of?

Answer: Moros

The Legions of Moros were the most feared troops in the Galaxy. They were mercenaries who always fought on the side of right, and would even fight for less money to help save people from oppression and exploitation. Often just their presence was enough to avert a war without a shot being fired, such was the power of their reputation.
3. Glr is a winged, telepathic alien 'sidekick' who flies the ship, flies reconnaissance, and generally looks out for Keill. What race is she a member of?

Answer: Ehrlil

Glr is over 400 years old, but is considered a 'wayward child' by her Ehrlil elders.
She travelled alone to our Galaxy from her home world and met and befriended Keill at the Overseer's base.
She journeys with him in his quest to track down agents of the Deathwing and avenge the death of Moros 'for the adventure.'
4. Which bit of Keill's body do the Overseers replace to cure his radiation sickness, with the added advantage of making him less vulnerable to attack?

Answer: Skeleton

Keill is dying from the effects of the radiation which killed Moros when the Overseers find him and cure him.
Part of the cure is that they replace his bones with an unbreakable 'molecular alloy.'
Added to the extreme fitness and skill of a Legionary this process makes Keill practically invulnerable in hand to hand combat.
5. Keill's mysterious enemy has an elite group of minions to do his evil bidding. How are they collectively known?

Answer: The Deathwing

The Deathwing are some of the most evil, vicious killers the galaxy has ever known. They are dedicated to "The Master's" plan of ruling the galaxy by engineering wars so that he can seize power over every human population.
6. What is 'odd' about the enemy warrior leader "The One"?

Answer: He has a golden armoured body

"The One" is 'first among equals' in the Deathwing, and although his actual body is twisted and crippled, he has an exo-skeleton made of an immensely strong alloy which makes him almost invincible in battle.
The only bit of his real flesh which can be seen is his face.
7. What is "The One's" name?

Answer: Altern

Keill defeats Altern in hand to hand combat and thinks he has killed him, but his devoted minions release him from his ruined robot exo-skeleton, and spirit him away to have a new one constructed which is even stronger than the first.
8. What is the 'natural' disaster which destroys The One's tower on Rilyn?

Answer: Star Wind

The 'Star Wind' occurs every thirty years or so, and is caused by the close approach of a 'rogue planet' into Rilyn's orbit.
The One thinks his massive tower is invincible because it protected by a super force field, but when Keill manages to turn the forcefield off, the tower is razed to the ground by the devastating wind.
9. What happens to a Legionary's identity disc if it is removed from their person?

Answer: It glows bright red

A legionary's ID is chemically tuned to his or her DNA, and if it is removed from contact with their skin it immediately glows bright red. They are almost impossible to forge, and are given to the owner on the day they "come of age," complete their Young Legionary training program, and are able to go to work alongside the adult population of Moros as fully fledged Legionaries.
10. Keill's enemy "The Master" turns out to be a gestalt of 24 minds, linked together by which 'thought' entity?

Answer: Arachnis

Arachnis is a being of pure energy who extends tendrils to take control of the minds of humans. Once a tendril is in place around the head, the person's will and ability to think and act independently are taken away, and all control over them passes through Arachnis to the Twenty-Four.
Once Keill is taken prisoner and the Twenty-Four have access to his every thought, they know all about the Overseers and the secret base and can also use Keill's military skills to train their Deathwing leaders.
Keill is one of only two people to survive the removal of the tendril with his sanity intact, thanks to Glr's loving telepathic care and healing powers.
