The nine members of Carlisle's family at the end of 'Breaking Dawn' are himself, Esme, Edward, Rosalie, Emmett, Jasper, Alice, Bella and Renesmee. These family members comprise of his wife, children, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.

Carlisle is married to Esme. Rosalie and Alice are his daughters and Renesmee is his granddaughter.

Carlisle was living on his own when he found Edward dying of Spanish influenza. He changed Edward into a vampire himself and Edward became his first companion. Carlisle changed Esme into a vampire second, after she tried to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff after she had lost her baby. Carlisle then found Rosalie after she had been raped by her drunk fiance and decided to change her into a vampire as a mate for Edward. Rosalie then found Emmett who had been mauled by a bear.

She carried him home to Carlisle and he changed Emmett into a vampire. Alice and Jasper had found each other after both wandering on their own and Alice used her visions to find Carlisle and his family and Carlisle willingly let them join the family. Bella became one of the family when she married Edward and their daughter, and Carlisle's granddaughter, Renesmee, was the final member of the family.

Answer: Jacob Black is a werewolf and he imprinted on Renesmee whom he will marry when she is old enough.

Imprinting is, as Jacob explains, like love-at-first-sight, but more powerful and you would do anything, be anything for that person. It is a rare part of being a werewolf. When Jacob first goes to see Renesmee he is planning on destroying her, but once he has seen her he forgets his intent and falls in love with her.

As Jacob will never age while he stays a werewolf, he will wait until Renesmee is his age and then he will marry her, thus joining Carlisle's family. This will also make both Jacob's and Sam Uley's werewolf packs part of the extended family, as the packs are Jacob's 'brothers'.

Carlisle's father was an Anglican pastor who believed that, by leading witch, werewolf and vampire hunts, that he was ridding the world of sin and evil. When he got older, this became Carlisle's job and how he became a vampire, after he discovered a real coven of vampires.

The Denali coven is so named because it is located in Denali, Alaska. Its members comprise of Kate, Garrett, Carmen, Eleazar and Tanya.

Answer: They are also 'vegetarian' vampires.

Carlisle and his family have jokingly dubbed themselves 'vegetarians', as they don't stick to the traditional diet of vampires, human blood. Instead, they only feed off the blood of animals, a trait that is also shown by the Denali coven.

Answer: The Olympic Coven

Although Carlisle's coven is often referred to as the Cullen coven, its proper name is the Olympic coven. It was named thus in the Vampire Index in 'Breaking Dawn'.

Bree thought that killing the Cullens was wrong and so she surrendered. Diego was Bree's best friend who was brought to his death by Riley, the newborns' leader. Fred was one of Bree's best friends who ran away, refusing to fight.

Answer: The newborn was destroyed by the Volturi.

The Volturi decided that the newborn army was too conspicuous and that too many humans were noticing them, therefore they all had to be destroyed, including Bree who had surrendered. Carlisle tried to let them give her a second chance because she didn't know that what she was doing was wrong, but they destroyed her anyway.
