Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 'Seven friends are getting away for a weekend in the country. Only six are coming back.'

Answer: Loaded

This is one of the absolute worst movies I've ever seen! Here's what I remember from it (keep in mind the effort it went through to repress all memory of the movie): A bunch of 20-somethings, one of who was a filmmaker, I think, went to a house in the country.

The movie wasn't going well, so they did some acid, there was something with a swimming pool and flashbacks, possibly a baby brother drowned years ago, one of the guys got hit on his motorcycle by two of the others in their car (while high or drunk or under some sort of influence), they buried the motorcycle guy and went back to the city at the end of the weekend.
2. 'Live every move as if it were your last.'

Answer: Intersection

This interminably slow movie stars Sharon Stone, Richard Gere, and Lolita Davidovich. Gere is married to Stone and having an affair with Davidovich, and must choose between the women.
3. 'The amps are on, but nobody's home.'

Answer: Airheads

This silly comedy stars Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi and Adam Sandler as musicians who take over a radio station so they can get their band's music played.
4. 'In a world of temptation, obsession is the deadliest desire.'

Answer: Exotica

Atom Egoyan directed this cryptic flick, and stars include Mia Kirshner, Bruce Greenwood and Elias Koteas. There were so many crossing storylines I wouldn't even know where to start. Some of the story revolves around an exotic dance club. Then there's a pet-shop owner who picks up dates outside the opera. And there were those scenes walking through the grass looking for bodies. Hmm.
5. 'America, sleep tight. The safety of the free world is in his hands.'

Answer: In the Army Now

Pauly Shore and Andy Dick join the army end up on the front lines in the Middle East. A very scary thought.
6. 'It's a day he'll never forget... Until tomorrow.'

Answer: Clean Slate

Dana Carvey stars as a private eye who can't remember anything beyond one day. He's on a big case and in the midst of a developing romance. James Earl Jones and Kevin Pollak costar.
7. 'Movies were his passion. Women were his inspiration. Angora sweaters were his weakness.'

Answer: Ed Wood

Johnny Depp took on the role of Ed Wood, possibly the worst filmmaker of all time, in this Tim Burton comedy. Martin Landau played Bela Lugosi, Wood's friend, supporter, and frequent star. Sarah Jessica Parker and Patricia Arquette played a few of the women in Wood's life.
8. 'Book of the dead.'

Answer: Necronomicon

This bad horror movie was based on the stories of H.P. Lovecraft, the legendary science fiction writer. The film was basically sectioned out into four short stories, none of which were done very well.
9. 'Five buddies, one butler, and a dog on an adventure so big... even the world's richest kid can't afford to miss it.'

Answer: Richie Rich

Macaulay Culkin stars as a rich and spoiled kid who just wants some friends. Donald Petrie ('Miss Congeniality') directs.
10. 'He's setting sail on the high seas without a rudder, a compass, or a clue.'

Answer: Cabin Boy

Apparently, so were the filmmakers. This is among the absolute worst movies I have ever seen (and I've seen a lot of rotten movies). Chris Elliott stars as an idiotic guy who finds himself part of a ship's crew. Unbelievable as it may be, Elliott didn't even win the Razzie Award he was nominated for!
