"Harvey" came out in 1950. Jimmy Stewart played Elwood P. Dowd, a man with a drinking problem who happens to see Harvey, a giant rabbit that no one else can see. Elwood's sister Veta (Josephine Hull) wants to have her brother committed to a mental hospital.
2. Burt Lancaster

"Jim Thorpe All American" came out in 1951. Jim Thorpe was a versatile athlete who was a Native American of the Sac and Fox Nation. He was an Olympic gold medalist in the 1912 Olympics and an American football player, and he also played professional baseball. Because he played baseball professionally, he was stripped of his Olympic medals, which he won for the pentathlon and decathlon.

The movie is a biopic film of his life. It chronicles his entire life, but the focus is mainly on his adult years when he played and excelled at sports and the loss of his medals.
3. Betty Hutton and Cornel Wilde

Answer: The Greatest Show on Earth

"The Greatest Show on Earth" came out in 1952. Betty Hutton and Cornel Wilde played Holly and The Great Sebastian, acrobats in the circus. Holly was dating Brad (Charlton Heston), the circus manager. She wanted to be the star of the show, but Sebastian got the center ring.

She was outraged. Sadly, Sebastian injured his hand when performing without a net and was afraid to let anyone see him. Buttons the Clown (Jimmy Stewart) helps Sebastian, which amazes the doctors that a clown has medical knowledge. Holly is now the star of the show, but she is now the star, but she has fallen in love with Sebastian and does not want to be the star because someone else was injured. Sebastian's hand is permanently paralyzed, but he still rejoins the show.
4. Kathryn Grayson and Howard Keel

Answer: Kiss Me Kate

"Kiss Me Kate" came out in 1953. It is a musical based on Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew". Grayson played Lilli and Kate (in the play within a play, or movie as it were). Keel played Fred and Petruchio. The two are a couple in the show, but in real life, they are divorced but still attracted to each other, causing a love-hate relationship. Meanwhile, in the play, Kate hates men and never wants to marry; but Petruchio intends to marry a rich woman. Cole Porter composed the music.
5. Audrey Hepburn

Answer: Sabrina

"Sabrina" came out in 1954. Audrey plays the title role. Sabrina is the daughter of the Larabee's chauffeur (John Williams). She is in love with David Larabee (William Holden), a playboy who doesn't notice her at first because he still sees her as a child. When he does notice, he is instantly attracted to her.
6. Shirley Jones and Gordon MacRae?

Answer: Oklahoma!

Shirley Jones played Laurie Williams, and Gordon MacRae played Curly McLain. Curly is in love with Laurie but won't admit it, and she is in love with him and also won't admit it (hence the song "People Will Say We're in Love"). Jud Fry (Rod Steiger) wants to take Laurie to the box social - he works for her family. Wanting to get back at Curly for making up a story about having a "Surrey with the Fringe on Top". Laurie is upset when Jud tries to kiss her and says he is in love with her. She leaves him alone at the social.

Meanwhile, at the social, the cowboys and the farmers do not get along. Aunt Eller (Charlotte Greenwood) makes them sing together "The Farmer and the Cowman". When that fails, she starts the picnic basket auction. Curly outbids everyone to get Laurie's basket and a picnic date with her but sells his saddle horse and gun to outbid Jud.
7. Yul Brynner

Answer: The King and I

Yul Brynner played the King of Siam in the movie. He is seen as a barbarian by the western world and wants to improve his image, but his ways are different, and he tries but struggles. Anna (Deborah Kerr) is a teacher from England who has come to teach the king's children. Conflict ensues when he wants her to act as the other subjects do, but she doesn't want to bow down to him.

However, they eventually become friends, but that doesn't last long after Tuptim (Rita Moreno) reads her Siamese version of "Uncle Tom's Cabin", which infuriates the king. Tuptim has also run away to be with Lun Tha (Carlos Rivas), but he is dead. When Tuptim returns, the king prepares to whip her, but he has changed and can't be the barbarian he once was. Anna has decided to leave, but as she is leaving, she learns the king is dying. Prince Chulalongkorn (Patrick Adiarte) becomes the new king as his father dies.
8. John Raitt

Answer: The Pajama Game

"The Pajama Game" came out in 1957. John Raitt played Sid Sorokin, the superintendent of Sleep Tite Pajama Factory. He quickly falls for Babe Williams (Doris Day), one of the factory workers. However, the factory workers are getting ready to strike. Can their love survive the strike?
9. Mitzi Gaynor

Answer: South Pacific

"South Pacific" was released in 1958. Mitzi Gaynor played Nellie Forbush. She meets Emile de Becque during World War II on an island in the South Pacific. They quickly fall in love. Meanwhile, a younger man, Lt. Joseph Cable (John Kerr), falls in love with a Polynesian girl named Liat (France Nguyen), whose mother, Bloody Mary (Juanita Hall), wants to get married.

However, as attractive as she is, Cable doesn't want to get involved with a Polynesian. Sadly, he is killed in action. Nellie is scared Emile has also been killed until he returns to her while she is watching his two children Ngana (Candace Lee) and Jerome (Warren Hsieh).
10. Rock Hudson

Answer: Pillow Talk

"Pillow Talk" was a romantic comedy released in 1959. Jan Morrow (Doris Day) is an interior decorator, and Brad Allen (Rock Hudson) is a composer who is also a womanizer. The two share the same phone party line. Jan doesn't like Brad until he poses as a Texas rancher, then they fall in love.

But Brad's friend, Jonathan Forbes (Tony Randall), is Jan's client and interferes, causing a love triangle.
