David F. Sandberg is also the director of the 2013 short film of the same name, on which this movie is based. Teresa Palmer stars as Rebecca. Her younger brother has insomnia, and is falling asleep in school because of his fear of sleeping while he's at home. Rebecca winds up taking him home with her, since she feels that her mother Sophie (played by Maria Bello) isn't capable of caring for him since she has her own issues with mental illness and depression. What's an even bigger problem is that Sophie seems to have this "imaginary friend".

In reality this friend, whose name is Diana, isn't really imaginary at all! She's an apparition... a very deadly one! She is jealous of anyone who comes between her and Sophie, and will stop at nothing to eliminate them!

'Intruders' stars Beth Riesgraf as Anna. Anna suffers from agoraphobia, which gives her the constant fear of leaving her home and entering the outside world. Anna takes care of her sick brother, but when his illness finally takes him, she cannot bring herself to leave and go to his funeral. So now... enter the intruders. Three guys break into her home with the intention of robbing her. What they don't know is that Anna is still home, and soon they find out that breaking into that particular home was a huge mistake on their part!

Blake Lively stars as Nancy in the 2016 film 'The Shallows'. She goes to a very secluded beach in order to surf and enjoy some fun in the sun! A friend is supposed to go along with her, but she winds up going solo. By late afternoon she finds herself alone and trapped... with a very vicious great white shark! The cast of this film is very small and Blake holds her own, along with an adorable seagull who some would say almost steals the movie! Being a shark lover, it is obvious that in real life sharks are NOT vengeful animals.

But this film holds your interest, and the shark itself looks awesome!

Answer: The Nest

The 1988 horror gem 'The Nest' has enough scenes of creepy cockroaches to give anybody who loathes bugs the willies! Unfortunately for the residents of North Port, these roaches have evolved in such an intense way that it becomes apparent that they have taken over not only the town... but the people as well! The bugs will get inside humans, using them as hosts.

After that, what happens next is far worse than anything they could imagine!

Answer: Rise of the Animals

A pizza delivery guy named Wolf is on the run from animals gone amok along with his friends Jake and Rachel. Wolf and Jake are on their way to deliver one last pizza before heading to the movies, and they wind up staying at an all girls party, where they run into Jake's sister Rachel.

By the next morning, one of the girls notices a deer outside just staring at her for several minutes. She and Wolf go outside to pet the deer, and she winds up getting her hand bitten off! Things just go really bad from there! Wolf and his pals soon encounter a horse gone mad, a bear, and even a full grown gorilla just to name a few! The CGI and puppetry in this film are hilarious, and it's not to be taken seriously.

Answer: Gnome Alone

In this silly gorefest, a young girl named Zoe is given a magical gnome from an old woman who originally owned him. The woman told Zoe that it will protect her from harm, since she is his new master now. Unfortunately, the gnome (played by Troyer) is very, very bad and likes to do many evil things... including violently killing off all of Zoe's enemies!

Answer: Before I Wake

Jessie (Bosworth) and Mark (Jane) adopt an eight year old boy named Cody, who is afraid to fall asleep! The reason they come to find out is due to his dreams and nightmares manifesting themselves into the real world as the boy sleeps. Wouldn't be so bad... if Cody didn't have such creepy nightmares!

Answer: Run... If You Can!

Martin Landau and Jerry Van Dyke star as detectives looking for a maniac killer in this obscure, quirky horror/thriller. A college student named Kim Page accidentally sees different women being murdered on the TV she is watching through a satellite dish aberration.

She then winds up being stalked and terrorized by the killer as well! This is one of those forgotten horror thrillers that die-hard fans of '80s horror films may enjoy!

Answer: The Sleeping Car

David Naughton stars as Jason. He resides in an old converted railroad car while he goes to college to get his education after his recent divorce. Unfortunately, an evil spirit out for revenge haunts and murders anyone close to Jason. Jeff Conaway and Kevin McCarthy also star!

Answer: The Other Side of the Door

Sarah Wayne Callies and Jeremy Sisto star as Maria and Michael, a married couple who lose their son to a drowning accident. When Maria is told by their housekeeper that she can have the chance to go say one last goodbye and have closure with her lost son, she goes through with the stipulations involved.

She is told she must have her son dug up, burned, then she must take his ashes and spread them on the steps of an ancient temple. She enters the temple, locks herself inside... and waits. She will soon hear her son on the other side of the door speaking to her.

But no matter what he says, or how much he begs... she is NOT to open the door! As we all know in horror films, rules like these are always made to be broken!
