This parody is written, produced and stars Tim Ogletree. It is about a police officer who realizes there is a zombie outbreak, after awakening in the hospital from a coma. He then decides to go out and look for his wife and son, and meets other survivors along the way. I had to add this film as an entry in this quiz since filming took place in San Antonio, Texas, which is where I have been living for the last thirty eight years.

In the film, there is a perfect shot of the Wonderland of the Americas mall sign, which is where some of the characters hole up.

Answer: Evolver

This 1995 flick has some hilarious moments, in my opinion! Evolver is the name of the robot that Kyle takes into his home. Everything seems ok at first when Evolver actually obeys Kyle's commands. But then, after awhile, it becomes apparent that Evolver has a mind of his own...and an evil one at that!

Answer: The Babadook

'The Babadook' is written and directed by Jennifer Kent. It is based on a 2005 short film titled 'Monster', which Kent also wrote and directed.

Answer: Housekeeping Massacre (1984)

There is a fairly large slew of films with the word "massacre" in the title. The 1976 film 'Naked Massacre' is about a vet from Vietnam who invades the home of a group of nurses who live together, then stalks and kills them one by one. 'Jersey Shore Massacre'(2014) is about a group of guys and gals who decide to party for the weekend at the Jersey Shore, not knowing that there is a killer on the loose! Things don't go well for them to say the least! 'Weenie Roast Massacre' is a low budget 2007 horror film about a killer who murders friends at an annual weenie roast.

Answer: At the Devil's Door

Hannah winds up playing a very deadly game that involves an evil entity taking her soul from her! Once this happens, what appears may look like Hannah...but it is not! One of the quotes in the film, said by Hannah's friend, is that whatever has gotten inside Hannah was "wearing her like a costume." This film definitely has some creepy moments and is a worthy watch for fellow horror fans, in my opinion.

Answer: It Follows

Maika Monroe stars as Jay, who unfortunately catches a deadly curse after having intercourse in a car with a guy she likes. The curse is that she is constantly being followed...and if what follows actually catches up to her and makes contact, it becomes fatal for poor Jay! The only way she can lose these creepy entities that follow her is by passing the curse along.

This film received much praise from critics after its debut at the Cannes Film Festival, and has been compared to the 1978 film 'Halloween', mostly for the creepy soundtrack as well as its originality.

Answer: The New York Ripper

This film has some pretty graphic gore, and Italian director Lucio Fulci does not disappoint here. There is an eyeball slicing scene, which most fans know has become a trademark of the talented director of Italian horror!

Answer: Nothing Left to Fear

When Pastor Dan's daughter Mary finds a tooth in a cake that is given to them from another pastor, it means that she is the chosen one! She is eventually drugged at the town festival, and a satanic ritual is performed on her. Things get very ugly from that point on. Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash produced this film under his production company called Slasher Films, as well as providing the films soundtrack.

The plot of this creeper is inspired by the fact that there are urban legends about the town of Stull, Kansas being one of the Seven Known Gateways to Hell.

Answer: Here Comes the Devil

This horror film from Mexico made its world debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 11, 2012. It becomes known later that people who get lost in the caves die...and an evil doppleganger appears. Adrian Garcia Bogliano is the writer and director of this creepy little gem!
