The Great Prince asked him to do this at the beginning of the movie, outside of their home in a hollow log. He gave him until spring to find her. Throughout the movie we saw Friend Owl come to update the Great Prince on his search. He was also there when the groundhog looked for his shadow, when Bambi almost died, and in the last scene.

He was smart and helped the Great Prince and everyone in the forest throughout the movie.

He would have seen it but, right before he opened his eyes, a cloud went in front of the sun. Flower wanted him to see his shadow because he wanted to hibernate more. The groundhog didn't want to come out of his hole because he was afraid he would see his shadow. Friend Owl had to force him out.

Ronno teased Bambi about a lot of different things. He said that Bambi was scared but in reality Ronno was. He was mean to everyone. He always tried to get Bambi to fight with him. Faline was the fawn that Bambi liked.

Flower said that he was afraid of turtles when Thumper was teaching Bambi how to be brave. Later in the movie when Ronno was bitten by a turtle Flower said "See, I told you turtles were scary."

The porcupine attacked the group as they crossed the log. Bambi then tried to show his dad he was brave by attacking the porcupine. But instead the porcupine stuck him with quills.

Bambi and Thumper pushed Ronno into some mud and then he chased them towards the cliff. Bambi jumped across with Thumper on his back. Bambi's dad said he didn't make a jump like that until he had antlers. When Ronno tried to jump across he fell into more mud. Jumping across was important to Bambi because it was the first time he had ever impressed his dad.

Friend Owl found her to care for Bambi. He had to leave to live with her. She lived very far away and Thumper and his other friends couldn't visit him. On their way to Mena's home she got caught in a trap and told Bambi to run.

There were four big, black hunting dogs. They also chased Bambi at the beginning of the movie. Flower scared off one of the dogs by spraying it and another one of the dogs got hurt by the porcupine.

After Bambi fought off the dogs, the movie went on to show Thumper telling the story of how Bambi fought them off. Then Bambi walked over and got his antlers caught in a tree. Getting his antlers was important because Ronno couldn't make fun of him for not having them anymore.

When Bambi was standing next to Faline the porcupine poked him and he jumped forward and kissed her. Bambi was happy because he really liked Faline. When the Great Prince came to get Bambi he showed him a place where the sun shone though the trees and he told him he was a lot like Bambi when he was younger.
