Answer: Folsom Prison

The film starts overlooking Folsom Prison. Then the camera moves closer and goes into the prison where we see hundreds of inmates cheering at Johnny Cash's band playing. Later on in the film, Johnny Cash is looking through his fan mail and many of the letters are from the inmates in Folsom Prison, so he decides to go to Folsom to perform a live album, 'In Folsom Prison'.

This song is sung on the Texarkana tour, and is Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two's first gig. When the curtains rise up on them, Johnny's first words are, 'Hello, I'm Johnny Cash.' and they begin to play this amazing song.

Answer: Audrey Parks

Audrey Parks is a big fan of Johnny's, as we see her pushing to the front of the crowd. The scene is after Johnny performs in the second tour he is in. We see Johnny in his room taking some of his pills, and after he swallows them, Audrey Parks walks in. Johnny doesn't know who Audrey Parks is, but continues to kiss her.

Answer: Jackson

This is the last song we see Johnny and June perform in the film, and this is also after Johnny is told by June that he can only talk to her on stage. He sees this as his chance to propose to her. So during 'Jackson', Johnny stops singing and says that he can't sing it because they are lying; he then proposes and convinces June to accept.

Answer: Jack

Jack is the favourite son of Ray Cash (Johnny's father). When Jack dies, Ray tells Johnny that he is nothing and is angry because he wants Johnny to die and Jack to live. We learn that Jack wants to become a preacher when he is older but he is seriously injured by the wood saw whilst Johnny is fishing. Jack and Johnny are very close and Johnny is devastated when Jack dies from the injury.

Answer: Lewis Boogie

Jerry Lee Lewis is the first act to perform on the Texarkana tour, and causes a riot with his speedy piano playing and eccentric behaviour. Jerry Lee Lewis seems to be the loner of the groups performing, as he assumes his performance cannot be outdone by other groups.

After the Texarkana concert, we see Johnny and June in a small cafe as they talk to each other. They get into a conversation about her singing, and she says that Anita 'has the pipes' in the family and that comedy is what she is good at. Johnny disagrees as he believes June has an amazing voice and tells her that his late brother, Jack, also thought her singing was great.

Answer: Laryngitis

This conversation is between the host of the Texarkana tour and June before they introduce Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two. She says this just to make the audience laugh whilst Johnny Cash and his band were preparing. As she is a comedienne, the audience sees June as the funny one of the Carter family, so comedy comes naturally on stage. After this conversation is over, we see Johnny backstage chuckling.

June Carter: "I gotta tell you, I can't sing tonight. I got the laryngitis."
[Crowd laughs]
June Carter: "Y'all laughin, but I do."
Billy: "We just heard you hollerin up a storm back there."
June Carter: "Well, I didn't have it then, Billy."

Answer: On a bus

Johnny continually asks June to marry him. On their first tour, after Johnny recovers from his drug addiction, they are travelling on a bus and at around 2 a.m. Johnny decides to wake June up and propose. June is clearly not happy and tells him never to propose to a woman on a bus and to never say it was because of a bad dream, as that is the excuse he uses for waking her up.

Answer: Germany

Johnny is in the Air Force before he even considers making and recording music for a living. We find out where he is going when his father says to Johnny's mother that the war is in Korea. Whilst in Germany, he writes some of his own songs including 'Folsom Prison Blues' and 'Cry Cry Cry'.
