Cousin Eddie was the husband of Ellen Griswold's cousin in the "Vacation" film series. In the 1989 film "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation", Cousin Eddie parked his RV in the Griswold's driveway. Cousin Eddie, donning nothing but a hat and his bathrobe, decided to empty the RV's full septic tank into the Griswold's storm sewer.

The gases formed inside the sewer from Cousin Eddie's dumping caused a big explosion at the end of the movie.
