Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who wore the green dress?

Answer: Drizella

Drizella was one of the ugly, mean step-sisters. She, Anastasia (the other stepsister) and Lady Tremaine (step-mother) always conspired against Cinderella.

Anastasia wore the pink dress, Lady Tremaine had a dark dress in probably a maroon color, and Cinderella wore simple, neutral-colored, housework clothes.
2. How was Cinderella's hair styled when she woke up?

Answer: Braids

Despite spending most of her life living like a servant to her step-family, Cinderella was a very kind, sweet, generous person who couldn't find it in her heart to swat a fly. It's almost like she was magical, but even magic couldn't keep her hair straight.
3. What did Cinderella feed the chickens and the mice?

Answer: Corn

Cinderella fed the chickens corn, but the chickens ate most of it before the mouse Gus got any. Cinderella gave him more, but it too was eaten by the chickens! Poor Gus!
4. Where was Cinderella's bedroom?

Answer: In the attic

Cinderella's bedroom was in the attic - probably another horrible thing her step-family made her do. It was important to the story later on, when Gus and Jacques took the key up to her room (this was after the step-mother locked the door on her). Those poor mice had to heave that heavy key up that sickening staircase!
5. Who played the flute?

Answer: Anastasia

Anastasia was as bad as Drizella (she was the other step-sister). Together, they did everything they could to stop Cinderella from going to the ball. They even ripped her dress apart (this was just an example). In this scene, Anastasia was playing the flute, Lady Tremaine was playing the piano, and Drizella was singing. Cinderella was probably doing housework. Sounds like it should be pretty, but in my opinion it really wasn't.
6. What were the women doing when the invitation to the ball came?

Answer: Playing music

The three women were having a lesson when the gentleman delivered the invitation. Cinderella wanted to go, and Lady Tremaine said maybe.
7. Why did the girls call Cinderella's name endlessly the night of the ball?

Answer: So she would not be ready in time

When Lady Tremaine said yes to going to the ball, the catch was that Cinderella would finish her housework in time. Not wanting her to come, the step-sisters called to her tirelessly so she would not be ready when the carriage left.
8. What color was the dress Cinderella was supposed to wear to the ball?

Answer: Pink

Slivery-blue was the color she DID wear to the ball. Pink was the color of the dress the mice made, before the girls tore it.
9. Where did Lady Tremaine hide the key?

Answer: In her pocket

Lady Tremaine found out it was Cinderella who wore the shoes at the ball and didn't want her to become the Prince's bride. So she sneaked up and locked Cinderella's door, dropped the key in her pocket, and walked away. She kept checking her pocket to make sure it was there, and didn't realize until too late that the mice had stolen it.
10. When Cinderella and the Prince rode away, what was their transportation?

Answer: A carriage

Cinderella and the Prince rode away in an elegant carriage after their marriage. Cars weren't even invented then, and do you think a prince and princess would leave in a wagon?
