Trumbo, a member of the "Hollywood 10" (and talented screenwriter of "Spartacus") wrote this anti-war novel. "York" was Gary Cooper's
movie. "Front" was by Erich Maria Remarque.

Answer: Errol Flynn stars with Olivia DeHavilland - but doesn't end up with her at the end of the movie

Olivia prefers Flynn's brother (in the movie) - so Flynn doesn't lose as much when he rides "into the valley of Death". (Re-made later with David Hemmings in the lead.)

Anyone who has watched the tv series knows that "M*A*S*H" was set during the Korean War. "Pork Chop Hill" starred Gregory Peck; "Toko-Ri" starred William Holden. "Hell" starred Jeffrey Hunter (and David Janssen), but was set in WW II.
