Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 'On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. 'Tis a silly place.'

Answer: Monty Python and the Holy Grail

"Monty Python and the Holy Grail" is a 70's movie that mainly spoofs the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they search for the Holy Grail. The finally make it to Camelot and when Arthur says to 'ride on to Camelot', it shows the knights singing a song about spending their time in Camelot and what they do there, while also showing them dancing on tables and drumming on other knights' helmets.

This quote is said by Arthur after the song is over.
2. 'Hi. I'm Earth. Have we met?'

Answer: Tommy Boy

"Tommy Boy" is about a man, Tommy Callaghan, continuing his father's business trip after his father passes away. He and Richard Hayden, his father's employee, visit various places and go through many ordeals together. This is said by Richard to a woman who works at the airport.

After he asks her to put him on a plane to Chicago as soon as possible. She suggests putting him on a plane coming BACK from Chicago and then asks if this helps. He responds with this quote, clearly thinking it is a very stupid suggestion.
3. 'MIKE! Dude, there's this chick out there...these two chicks...they're triplets, man!'

Answer: Can't Hardly Wait

"Can't Hardly Wait" mainly takes place during a graduation party. Its main character, Preston, tries to figure out how to give a love letter to its recipient, Amanda. This is said by William to Mike Dexter, while trying to persuade him to come out to the pool house where his friends are planning to jump him.
4. 'Do you realize that if we played by the rules right now we'd be in gym? '

Answer: Ferris Bueller's Day Off

"Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is about just that: a very popular high school student, Ferris Bueller, decides that he is above such petty inconveniences as going to school and fakes illness to get out of it for one day. Ferris says this to his best friend, Cameron, while they're at a baseball game, meaning that if they hadn't gone to such extreme measures to get out of school that day, they would be in gym class.
5. 'Mickey is a mouse, Donald is a duck, Pluto is a dog. What's Goofy?'

Answer: Stand by Me

"Stand by Me" is based on Stephen King's novel, "The Body". It's about four kids who run away for a couple days on a quest to find the body of a local kid who went missing. Gordie says this one night while they're sitting around, discussing the things that 'used to seem important, until they discovered girls'.
6. 'Do you think I'd speak for you? I don't even know your language!'

Answer: The Breakfast Club

"The Breakfast Club" is a movie that was made in the mid-80s. It is about five high school students who are spending one Saturday together in detention. They couldn't be more different, but they learn more about each other than they ever thought possible.

This quote is said by "the Criminal" - John - to "the Jock" - Andy. By this, he means "Why would I speak for you? We're so different, we practically come from different planets!" They had never spoken prior to this day, and wouldn't have, without the circumstances they were in.
7. 'Yeah, you seem like a great catcher...of doughnuts, in your mouth.'

Answer: The Benchwarmers

"The Benchwarmers" is about three older guys, as they call them in the movie, who form a baseball team to represent the kids who sit out every game and never get to play. Only one of them is good; the other two just kinda stand there. The character Richie (not the good one) says this quote while stepping up to the plate.

The catcher is heavy-set and Richie isn't shy about pointing it out. I'm sure he says it just to distract the catcher and to make him lose his focus.
8. 'We fear change.'

Answer: Wayne's World

"Wayne's World" is about two guys, Wayne and Garth, who have a cable show and who have just signed with a major TV producer, Benjamin. Benjamin plans to exploit the show, but the guys are too dim-witted to notice that. Garth says this to Benjamin after he is asked "What do think about a little change?" Garth is sure that whatever Benjamin has to change about the show cannot be good.
9. 'You're just a woman with a small brain.'

Answer: Anchorman

"Anchorman" is about famous local news anchor, Ron Burgandy. Things are going great for him until he meets his new coworker, Veronica Corningstone. They fall in love, but things turn for the worse when Veronica takes Ron's place on the news, one day in his absence.

She's a huge success and they hate each other from then on. Ron says this quote to Veronica during a fight in which they say stupid, meaningless insults to each other, back and forth.
10. 'I'm sorry, what was the question? I was distracted by the half-masticated cow rolling around in your wide-open trap.'

Answer: Miss Congeniality

"Miss Congeniality" is about a female agent who goes undercover as a Miss America contestant, to solve a case. She is not too keen to go through with this assignment, because it is definitely an understatement to say that she is nothing like the contestants in the pageant. Victor, her stylist, says this to Gracie, the agent, as she eats a steak with her mouth open. Anybody who has seen someone talk and eat with their mouth open (at the same time) knows that it is nothing short of disgusting, as Victor notices at this point.

He is trying to make her into a lady, and he knows he's got his work cut out for him when he sees her eat.
