Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "I'll be back Bennett" is said by Arnold Schwarzenegger in which 1985 movie, that also stars Alyssa Milano as his daughter who is kidnapped in an effort to force Arnold to perform a political assassination?

Answer: Commando

Bennett, a former captain in John Matrix's (Schwarzenegger) special forces team, is one of the main "bad guys" in this film and well portrayed by Vernon Wells. Matrix delivers the words as Bennett bundles him into a plane against his will. Their aim is for Matrix to conduct a political assassination for a former South American dictator that Matrix had previously led a mission against. The film was a commercial success and won a nomination for best special effects at the Saturn Awards that year only to lose out to the James Cameron film "Aliens".
2. "She'll be back" The Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is referring to the T-X android they have set back in a struggle, in which incarnation of the "Terminator" series?

Answer: Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

"Terminator 3" stars Kristanna Loken as the most up to date of Terminator models yet, the T-X, that comes complete with a liquid metal exterior (similar to the T-1000 in "Terminator 2"), the power to exercise control over machinery and weapons built into its endoskeleton.

As John Connor has disappeared off the grid and cannot be found, her (its) mission is to kill as many of the Resistance's future lieutenants as possible. In the process she accidently discovers John Connor's whereabouts. The film did extremely well at the box office but did not receive the positive critical reviews that its predecessors did.
3. "I'll be back with the doll later..." says Howard Langston (Schwarzenegger) to his wife, in which 1996 family comedy?

Answer: Jingle All the Way

Arnold plays a mattress salesman who spends too much time on the job and not enough on his family. All that his son wants for Christmas is the current "fad" toy, a Turbo Man doll, and Howard, who's forgotten it, is setting out to get one. He is about to find out that this is not going to be an easy task. The film was panned by the critics with one intimating that Arnold possessed "the comic timing of a dead moose". The audience however, voted with their butts on seats and the film recouped more than twice its budget.
4. (Kaminsky) "I'll be right back". Mark Kaminsky (Schwarzenegger) is a small town sheriff who goes undercover to destroy a mafia mob in which 1986 action movie?

Answer: Raw Deal

To work his way into the gang's confidence Kaminsky orchestrates the recovery of $100 million worth of drugs and cash that had previously been seized by the FBI. Fearing he might be recognised and have his cover blown Kaminsky tells the mob's top lieutenant, Max Keller (played by Robert Davi), that he'll go in alone..."I'll be right back".
One of Arnold's earliest movies, it was met with mixed reviews and, though it grossed twice its budget, its takings were considered to be a bit of a disappointment.
5. At the end of which 1990 movie does Arnold Schwarzenegger's character return to the scene where he was an undercover instructor and declares "I'm back"?

Answer: Kindergarten Cop

In an effort to pin a crime on a drug dealer, John Kimble (Schwarzenegger) must go undercover in a kindergarten. In the process he discovers he has a knack and a passion for teaching, hence his return at the end. The movie, directed by Ivan Reitman did extremely well at the box office, raking in over $200 million in takings.
6. Does the phrase "I'll be back" appear in the 2009 movie "Terminator Salvation"?

Answer: Yes

John Connor (Christian Bale) is about to head off to break into Skynet when his wife, Kate Brewster (Bryce Dallas Howard), asks "What should I tell the men when they find out that you're gone"? He replies with the above quote.
The film is directed by McG and it introduces Sam Worthington as the cyborg Marcus Wright. Unlike the first three instalments of the series, this film does not use the element of time travel with the aim of destroying the Resistance in an earlier time frame. Here it is set at the time of the fight.
7. "I might be back". Arnold Schwarzenegger's character goes to a "re-pet" store to see about getting his dog cloned only to discover an illegal human cloning operation in which 2000 movie?

Answer: The 6th Day

Deciding that he doesn't want to get his dog cloned he moves to leave the store. It's at this point that he notices a display of "sim pals" and thinks that this may be a better option. He tells the sales assistant that he might be back. "Oh you'll be back" is the smug reply. In this film the sixth day, the day God created man, represents a law that forbids the cloning of whole humans. Arnold's character, Adam Gibson, is cloned in the mistaken belief by the cloning company that they have successfully murdered him and that this would cover their trail. Well they missed and they need to make sure they can get rid of him before he can expose their illegal operation. Directed by Robert Spottiswoode and also starring Michael Rapaport and Robert Duvall, the film earned $97 million, only just covering its budgeted costs of $82 million.
8. Which 1987 film, based on a Stephen King novel, sees Arnold Schwarzenegger's character step into a televised gladiatorial contest with the words "I'll be back Killian"?

Answer: The Running Man

The gladiatorial contest is a game show where the contestants are convicted criminals and the contest is, essentially, a confrontation with certain death. Killian's reply to Arnold is "Only in a rerun".
The film, directed by Paul Michael Glaser of television's "Starsky & Hutch" fame, was a box office success and featured Maria Conchita Alonso and Yaphet Kotto. Curiosities include cameo appearances by musicians Mick Fleetwood and Dweezil Zappa as well as choreography of the game show dancers by Paula Abdul.
9. In which 1988 comedy does Arnold Schwarzenegger's character, the subject of a genetic experiment, confront his doctor with the promise "If you're lying to me, I'll be back!"?

Answer: Twins

Arnold and Danny DeVito play the roles of fraternal twins (subjected to an experiment that involves sperm donations from six different fathers) who are separated at birth. The storyline and comedy is derived from the incongruities that lie in the twins physical appearances, skills and social upbringing.

The film represents a further collaboration between Arnold and director Ivan Reitman. Whilst it was not well received by the critics it was a massive earner for the team, taking in over $200 million against a budget of $15 million.

In March of 2012 Universal announced that they were working on putting together a sequel called "Triplets" with Eddie Murphy likely to play the long lost brother.
10. In which 1993 film, that virtually parodies Arnold Schwarzenegger's career, does the child protagonist, Danny Madigan, respond with "You always say that" to Jack Slater's "I'll be back ... HA! Bet you didn't know I was going to say that"?

Answer: Last Action Hero

The scene involves Danny, played by Austin O'Brien, trying to convince Jack (Schwarzenegger) that he's not real but simply a character in an action movie. The film, directed by John McTiernan, becomes a parody, not just of Arnold's movies, but a host of other action films, when Danny Madigan gets drawn from his own world into the surreal world of his fictional idol, Jack Slater, an over the top LAPD detective. Hailed as that summer's biggest blockbuster the film was critically panned and performed poorly at the box office. Fortunately it has garnered a massive cult following since being released on VHS and DVD.
