D'ohme! - "The Simpsons Movie" Quiz

Russ mentions this fact when he appears as a projected image on the inside wall of the dome. The man self-proclaimed to have gone "mad with power" claims that owning the company that made the dome did not influence his decision to cover Springfield with it.

Homer apparently singlehandedly pollutes the lake even more than it was before the town cleaned it up. He was actually going to listen to Marge and dispose of the waste properly - until Lenny called with an offer of free donuts. Unfortunately the lake creates a squirrel with many eyes, which catches the eye of the Environmental Protection Agency.

One can't tell for sure if Moe's claim to be Emperor of Springfield is the truth, but Barney Gumble at least appears to agree - after being bested off-screen by his own flaming liquor bottle.

Unfortunately for the townspeople, their attempts at destroying the dome are what spark Russ Cargill's decision to destroy the town, when he decides that people escaping from the dome could cause some big problems for the government. Luckily Homer saves the day with his physically-impossible motorcycle stunt!

Answer: twisted tail

Marge is at first the only person to take Grandpa Simpson's speech seriously. She immediately realizes the pig as being foretold by the words "twisted tail", but it is not until later (specifically, the introduction of the dome) that she is taken seriously. The "thousand eyes" from his speech refer to the squirrel, and "EPA" to the Environmental Protection Agency.

In this typical movie climax, two heroes attempt a dangerous and nearly impossible stunt to save their town. Bart successfully throws the bomb, with less than a minute to go, through the roof of the dome (after needing to be reminded by Marge). It soars back down and bounces around the edge of the hole, reminiscent of a basketball hoop, before safely landing on the top with two seconds left until detonation.

This sparks both a borderline-racist remark from Lenny and a city-wide effort to clean up the lake and stop polluting it. Of course, the "idiot-proof" barrier, a simple cement wall around the lake, does not stop Homer's car when, in a hurry to get free donuts, he skips out on properly disposing of the silo. He dumps it into the lake instead, re-polluting it (and worse than before).

Answer: Trappuccino

This scene is relatively early after the introduction of the dome, but not too early to be running out of essential supplies - including Botox for Kent Brockman, who pauses to hold his face up using a clothespin at the back of his head. The "Trappuccino" theme is complete with an animation of the town of Springfield under a dome atop a giant coffee cup.

Answer: Colin

Colin and Lisa are an instant pair, sharing the environment as their first common interest. They meet canvassing people about Lake Springfield, before the town agrees to clean it up. Colin adamantly claims that his father is not Bono.

Answer: Sequel?

Among scenes of a theatre usher who remarks "Four years of film school for this?!" as he pushes a broom, and Tom Hanks' message that he wants people who see him in public to leave him be, Maggie can be heard (which is a rarity in the world of "The Simpsons"). Bart wants to leave, claiming that he's been "holding it since they put the dome over the town", and Lisa just wants to make sure that no animals were harmed during the making of this film.
