Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Your eyes are full of hate, forty-one."

Answer: Ben-Hur

Quintus Arrius (Jack Hawkins) speaking to Judah Ben-Hur (Charlton Heston). Judah had been betrayed by his childhood friend Messala and sent to sea as a galley slave, known only as "Rower 41". During a sea battle he saves the life of Arrius, a Roman Consul. Heston won an Oscar for his portrayal of Judah. "Ben-Hur" won a total of 11 Oscars, a record until "Titanic" equalled it.
2. "He killed them with the jawbone of an ass?"

Answer: Samson and Delilah

Spoken by the Saran of Gaza (George Sanders), who is incredulous that his Philistine soldiers were killed by just one man and the jawbone of an ass. A big hit in 1949, "Samson and Delilah" was directed by Cecil B. DeMille, who had an even bigger success in 1956 with "The Ten Commandments", a remake of his own 1923 silent epic.
3. "When I've finished with these Christians, history will never be sure that they ever truly existed!"

Answer: Lawrence of Arabia

A battle cry from T.E. Lawrence (Peter O'Toole) in David Lean's multi-Oscar winning epic, "Lawrence of Arabia" won 7 Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director (David Lean). Peter O'Toole was nominated for Best Actor, losing to Gregory Peck for "To Kill a Mockingbird".
5. "He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy!"

6. "Behold His mighty hand!"

Answer: The Ten Commandments
