Peter Fonda never really stretched much as an actor. "The Wild Angels" was the first movie to associate him with the American counterculture and hopped-up motorcycles, a genre he returned to often over the years. Co-starring Nancy Sinatra, the movie involved sex, fights and drugs. Fonda's style in this movie set him up for his seminal role of Wyatt in "Easy Rider". "The Wild Angels" set the tone for biker movies which continued well into the 1970s.

Answer: Barefoot in the Park

"Barefoot in the Park" was Neil Simon's longest-running play. It became a hit movie when he adapted it for film. Fonda and Redford (he was in the Broadway production) played a newly-married couple in New York City, getting to know life and each other.

The Fondas had the same kind of relationship in real life as the movie characters.
