Elvis Presley Trivia Questions

1. What was Elvis Presley's first movie, released in 1956? The movie follows a gang of confederate soldiers robbing a Union train carrying payroll money.

From Quiz
Dance with the Devil

Answer: Love Me Tender

"Love Me Tender" was released in 1956 starring Elvis, Richard Egan, and Debra Paget. Even though the movie was named after the song, Elvis was not the top-billing actor. The movie was an American Western musical film, originally called "The Reno Brothers", but because of the sales of Presley's recording of "Love Me Tender", which grossed more than a million in sales, it was renamed. Essentially, the movie is about the war being over on a day when Confederate soldiers, led by Vance Reno, robbed a Union train of its payroll. As the war was officially over, the act was considered a crime and its participants were outlaws. Reno returns home only to find that his brother (Elvis) has married his sweetheart. The family tries to reconnect whilst evading the law.

2. Who did Elvis play in "King Creole"?

Answer: Danny Fisher
