Unlike Lyle, who loves money and the luxury it affords him, George appreciates the simple things in life. He loves the ring. Even though this is an over-the-top goofball comedy, we are drawn into the love story between Ursula and George.

This is a very cool song, with the line "I think I know why the dog howls at the moon." It's a perfect tune for what George calls "dancin' time".

San Francisco provides the backdrop for George's antics on the Bay Bridge. George swings from a long rope on the bridge to rescue a para sailer caught high on the supports. Traffic in the Bay Area was snarled for hours as the scene was being shot. Many people called in to police reporting a jumper. A publicist for the movie settled everyone down when he explained it all on local radio.

After watching a heartwarming commercial on T.V. about coffee, George decides having some will bring him closer to Ursula. Obviously he doesn't know it should be brewed, so he eats it from the can. These scenes of George in the "urban jungle" are as funny as Ursula's scenes in the real jungle.
