Adam Shankman has directed several succesful films, including "Cheaper by the Dozen 2", "A Walk to Remember" and "The Pacifier". He was also a judge on "So You Think You Can Dance" (Season 3).

John Waters was the director in the original version of the film. He starred as "the flasher who lives next door" in this version. Christopher Walken played Wilbur Turnblad.

Answer: Leaving the house

Edna has a fear of leaving the house and being in large crowds. This fear is called "agoraphobia". When Tracy convinces her mom to be her manager, they go to Mr Pinky's store and Edna gets over her fear.
In the song "Welcome to the 60s" Edna says "I haven't left the house since 1951." This means that it had been 11 years since she last left her home, because the movie is set in 1962.
Edna is played by John Travolta.

Tracy sings the first song at the beginning of the movie, whilst she is getting ready for school and on her way to school. It shows us quite how much music means to her.

Mr Pinky is played by Jerry Stiller, Ben Stiller's dad.

Seaweed's Mom is Motormouth Maybelle, a DJ.
Seaweed calls him Cracker Boy when Link is worried that it is unsafe for them to be at Motormouth Maybelle's platter party.
Link is played by Zac Efron.
Tracy is played by Nikki Blonsky.

Answer: Mike

She calls and uses the fake name Mike but when Edna asks "Mike who?" Amber accidentally speaks in her normal voice, before catching herself and using the disguised voice again. She calls because she sees Link leave with Tracy, and she wants revenge.

Answer: Devil Child

She says this and tosses Holy water at Penny. Penny's Mom is a really strict Catholic. She thinks Penny is a Devil Child because of the things she does and the music she likes etc. She also thinks that Tracy is a bad influence on Penny and that "The Corny Collins Show" is bad because it promotes race music.

I really wanted to include a couple of my favourite lines in the movie. They both refer to Penny's mother.
Penny: "Oh Seaweed, you do care! I thought the colors of our skin might keep us apart."
Seaweed: "No... but these knots might. Was your mom in the Navy?"

Motormouth Maybelle: "Well, love is a gift, a lot of people don't remember that. So you two better brace yourselves for a whole lotta ugly comin' at you from a never ending parade of stupid."
Penny: "So you've met my Mom?"

Answer: In Penny's bedroom

He is in Penny's bedroom, trying to rescue her. Her mom has tied her up in her bedroom so he tries to untie her.
Seaweed and Penny are in love. How cute!
Motormouth Maybelle, Seaweed's Mom, approves of their relationship, but Penny's Mom, Prudy, doesn't.
Seaweed is played by Elijah Kelly, Penny is played by Amanda Bynes and
Motormouth Maybelle is played by Queen Latifah.

Answer: Little Inez

Yes, Seaweed's little sister, Little Inez wins, making the show permanently integrated. Velma Von Tussle is not happy about this.
