Answer: Signs

The Hess family finds crop circles in their corn fields. This circles are signs for something more terrifying to come. Mel Gibson's character, Graham Hess, was originally written as an older character. Paul Newman and Clint Eastwood were both offered the role but turned it down. In turn, Joaquin Phoenix replaced Mark Ruffalo, who had to pull out of the film because of his bad health.
2. 'Leave your inhibitions at the door.'

Answer: Showgirls

The story of a young dancer's attempts to conquer Las Vegas. The filmmakers wanted Madonna to play Cristal Conners (Gina Gershon) and Drew Barrymore to play Nomi Malone (Elizabeth Berkley). When Nomi is shown her table in the dressing room, you can see a name card being taken off the mirror. It says 'Drew'.
3. 'All she wanted was a little attention.'

Answer: To Die For

A weather-girl will do anything to make it big on TV, even if that means killing her husband. Nicole Kidman's portrayal of Suzanne Stone Maretto was considered the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical. In 1996 it brought her a Golden Globe.
4. 'Stealin' stones and breakin' bones.'

Answer: Snatch

An assortment of rather clueless gangster types try to track down a priceless diamond. Many critics complained about the accents of the characters in 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.' To counter the criticisms, Brad Pitt's character in 'Snatch', Mickey the Gypsy, was introduced.

Not only can't he be understood by the audience, but characters in the movie have hard time undertanding him as well.
5. 'What went down on the way to the top.'

Answer: Primary Colors

This movie is considered to be a slightly disguised account of Clinton's presidential campaign in 1992. Here are only some of the similarities: Jack Stanton (John Travolta) is Bill Clinton, Susan Stanton (Emma Thompson) is Hillary Clinton, Richard Jemmons (Billy Bob Thornton) is James Carville, and Libby Holden (Kathy Bates) is Betsey Wright.
6. 'Who, in the name of God, is getting away with murder?'

Answer: The Name of the Rose

A monk, William of Baskerville (Sean Connery), investigates a series of mysterious deaths in an isolated abbey. At one point he is shown with a book by a certain 'Umberto of Bologna'. This is a reference to Umberto Eco, who teaches at the University of Bologna and is the author of the book 'The Name of the Rose' that the movie is based on.
7. 'Do you believe in ghosts? She didn't.'

Answer: The Others

Grace, played by Nicole Kidman, lives in a darkened old house with her two photosensitive children. She becomes convinced that the house is haunted. The director of the movie, Alejandro Amenabar, makes his cameo appearance in one of the photographs of dead people. He's the one on the right with a moustache, in the group of three men.
8. 'They have a plan, but not a clue.'

Answer: O Brother, Where Art Thou?

'O Brother, Where Art Thou?', about three escaped convicts' quest for treasure, has numerous references to Homer's "Odyssey". To name just a few, the names of George Clooney and Holly Hunter's characters are Ulysses and Penelope, the three girls by the river are the Sirens, Ulysses' wife marries someone else, and one of Ulysses' companions is changed into an animal.
9. 'The Who's Who in the whodunnit!'

Answer: Murder on the Orient Express

This movie is based on Agatha Christie's famous book of the same name. Hercule Poirot (Albert Finney) solves a murder that occurred on the Orient Express. Ingrid Bergman received an Oscar as the Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Greta in this movie.
10. 'Good morning. You are one day closer to the end of the world. You have been warned.'

Answer: The Omen

An American ambassador (Gregory Peck) learns that his son is the Antichrist. Damien the child is played by Harvey Stephens. In 'Damien: Omen II', he is a teenager played by Jonathan Scott-Taylor. In 'The Final Conflict', Sam Neill takes over as the grown up Damien. Finally, in 'Omen IV: The Awakening', Damien is dead, though his prophecy lives in Delia, played by Asia Vieira.
11. 'He was the perfect husband until his one mistake followed them home.'

Answer: What Lies Beneath

The wife (Michelle Pfeiffer) of a professor (Harrison Ford) investigates the murder of a beautiful student who has been appearing to her. Director Robert Zemeckis filmed this movie during the break in the filming of 'Cast Away', while Tom Hanks was losing weight for his character.
12. 'On the other side of drinks, dinner and a one night stand, lies a terrifying love story.'

Answer: Fatal Attraction

A married man's one night stand comes back to stalk him and his family. Alex (Glenn Close) starts the film wearing white, but, as she gets more and more dangerous, she gradually switches to wearing black. Barbara Hershey, Debra Winger, and Miranda Richardson all turned down the role of Alex.
13. 'He's quite engaging. She's otherwise engaged.'

Answer: Four Weddings and a Funeral

This comedy revolves around Charlie (Hugh Grant), his friends, and the four weddings and one funeral which they attend. The budget for 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' was so small, that extras had to bring their own suits to the weddings. However, the film turned out to be one of the highest-grossing British films in cinema history.
14. 'Something wicked this way comes.'

Answer: The Witches of Eastwick

'The Witches of Eastwick', based on John Updike's novel of the same name, features Jack Nicholson as Daryl Van Horne, an ideal man conjured up by three women, who turns out to be the devil himself. Cher, Susan Sarandon, and Michelle Pfeiffer also star.
15. 'Earth. It was fun while it lasted.'

Answer: Armageddon

A huge asteroid is headed for Earth, and the world's best deep core drilling team is sent to blow it up. The cast of 'Armageddon' were the only civilians to ever wear genuine NASA spacesuits, which cost over 3 million dollars each. But, as Lev Andropov (Peter Stormare) says in the movie, 'Components. American components, Russian components, all made in Taiwan!'
