What was wrong was that dentist Christopher Hess, the former "White Angel of Auschwitz" was trying to smuggle a fortune in diamonds out of the country. Unfortunately he believed that Thomas has some information that he needed, and was willing to torture him to get it. He used the tools of his former trade to perform the torture.
5. (2001) Although engaged to be married to a beautiful young woman, Frank Sangster allows himself to be seduced into supplying prescription drugs for one of his sexy patients, who draws him into her world of drugs and sex. The next thing he knows he's become a suspect in the murder of her brother.
6. (1979) Vincent Ricardo's son and Sheldon Kornpett's daughter are going to be married, so the families make an effort to get to know each other. However Vincent, who is a CIA agent, drags poor Sheldon, who is a dentist, into a case involving a plot to devalue the U.S. monetary system by a crazy, third world dictator.
7. (1985) Although no longer working for the newspaper, Judith Singer finds that she hasn't lost her investigative drive. When a local dentist is murdered, she finds herself drawn to solving the case. The fact that he'd been having affairs with a few of her neighbours, who don't seem to want the case solved any more than the murderer did, doesn't seem to deter her at all.
8. (2002) Miami based dentist Ted Brooks is surprised when he learns he has inherited a team of sled dogs from his birth mother in Alaska. He's even more surprised when he finds that he wants to keep the dogs, and learn how to race them. He's downright shocked when he finds that the crusty old mountain man who's trying to get the dogs for himself, is actually his father.
9. (1914) Charlie Chaplin delivers up his usual silent, slapstick fare while playing a dentist's assistant who's pretending to be a dentist. He gives one patient too much laughing gas, and when the patient can't stop laughing, he knocks him out by hitting him with a club.
