Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was responsible for setting up the Olympia scandal?

Answer: VP Ted Matthews

This secret meeting in the Oval Office was the main point of the movie. Someone had taken some money for allowing funding to a private venture. When Haney discovered this could get him impeached, take a guess who he tried to pin it on? After our heroes finally confronted him, Haney took the blame and resigned.

Although Haney tried to pass the buck to save his job, in the end, it turned out to be Vice President Matthews who was the mastermind of all this. If his plan had worked, he would have become president.

After our heroes confronted Matthews, he revealed all this to them. He almost got away with it, but Douglas was smart enough to record the whole conversation on tape.
2. How did Agent Fleming discover that the men on horses were ex-Presidents Douglas and Kramer?

Answer: He saw the freedom ring he gave to Kramer.

Earlier in the movie, Agent Fleming was dressed as one of the Dorothys in the Gay Pride Parade. When Kramer and Douglas marched next to him, he automatically knew who they were and helped them - in a way - to escape the agents after them. When given a tough choice he got the right man, thanks to the ring sticking out of Kramer's pocket as they rode horseback around the White House.

"Wait, have me met before? I could swear I recognize you from somewhere...?"
"Let's just say we met 'over the rainbow'."
3. Who did Wayne (the redneck) confuse Theodore Roosevelt with?

Answer: Davy Crocket

This was when they 'were riding in the redneck's car, and the redneck's son asked who was on Mt. Rushmore. Apparently, the redneck wasn't paying attention in history class. He actually knew what Washington did, but obviously not the others. Accordingly, the presidents then made an attempt to correct him.

Redneck: "He kilt him a bar when he was three!"
4. When the illegal immigrant asked Douglas what their names were, what did he say Kramer's name was?

Answer: Blinky

This happened just after INS and the government chopper showed up. Yes, he named Kramer after his privates. Earlier, our heroes had stopped in a restroom and met a slobbish civilian that recognized them. He snuck a peek at Douglas' private, and this was what Douglas called it. It was such a good name that he used it to refer to Kramer several times.
5. Finish this quote: "I think I got a chunk of ______ up my (behind)."

Answer: purple mountain's majesty

This happened when they were on a train to Cleveland, Ohio. The ex-presidents made an exit off the train when they saw some agents get on at a train station. After the presidents bailed, Kramer started looking for Douglas. Apparently, Douglas must have had a bit harder landing than Kramer did (this is said after they "jumped" off the train. Yes, I know - Kramer said to Douglas that he was pushed, which is true). Douglas jumped somewhat willingly, and it was he who said this.
6. What did the government helicopter do when the INS chopper asked to see their authority?

Answer: launch a hellfire missile

This happened right after the immigrants jumped out of the female trucker's rig. The government helicopter was searching for the presidents, and the INS chopper was interfering in their mission. After the appropriate warning, the government gave INS a reason to vacate the area. It was a near-miss, too!

"Authorization recognized, have a nice day." (INS flies off)
7. At the paint factory, what did Wayne (the redneck) say that was rather interesting?

Answer: "I slept with both those guys!"

After the Mt. Rushmore argument and a harangue about our nation from the presidents, the redneck's wife explained that all their recent troubles had been caused as a side effect of the presidents' respective plans to "help the nation". She basically stated that even though these men have unwittingly done wrong to them, they still had the heart to take them in and try to help them anyways.

After that, the ex-presidents began to realize why they were never re-elected. After foiling Vice President Matthews' plan, the presidents decided to band together and run for office, although they never officially decided who would be president and who would be the VP.

The redneck saw them on TV when they did this, and he proudly announced this to his co-workers.
8. How did Douglas and Kramer escape?

Answer: Kennedy's Door

Towards the middle of the movie Kramer told Douglas about it, and started looking for the crease in the wall. After Douglas said that he'd forgotten about it, he showed Kramer where it was (under a painting).
9. What did the female trucker say she was hauling?

Answer: farm equipment

This happened about 45 minutes into the movie. Kramer and Douglas flagged her down. That worked well, although Kramer had to give up his watch from Gorbachev. It also turned out she was lying about the farm equipment. When INS showed up, about 20 illegal immigrants scampered out of the back of her rig. "Nothing excitin'" at all.
10. Where was Douglas when Charlie Reynolds was killed by a sniper?

Answer: standing right next to him

This was about 20 minutes from the beginning of the movie. After our heroes individually discovered they were being framed for the Olympia scandal, Douglas tried to get information from an inside source. During the conversation, some guy with a silenced gun took the man out. Douglas didn't even realize it until a minute later.

Kramer: "What are you doing here? OH MY GOD!"

Douglas: "Yeah, so now you know I like to spend time with dead guys."
