"Case 39" was about an overworked social worker, Emily, played by Renee Zellweger. When she was ordered to investigate the parents of Lilith, brilliantly played by Jodelle Ferland, at her home, she was horrified to see that her parents had put their daughter in the oven and taped it up with duct tape. What followed was a nightmare situation, where people started dying horrible deaths and it seemed that Lilith was responsible.

Answer: Dark Skies

"Dark Skies" was a really atmospheric and scary movie. The youngest son, Sammy, was reading stories about The Sandman and when his mum asked him if it was him, Sammy, who stacked the tins in the kitchen, he said it was The Sandman. Then hundreds of birds crashed into their house and as they lay dying, the investigators said it was like something was drawing the birds to their home. What followed was a nightmare for the family.

Answer: The Possession

"The Possession" was a supernatural movie about the possession of a young girl, Em, played by Natasha Kalis. Inside the box there was an evil demon that wanted to latch on to her and then take her away. The father, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, went through hell to get her back.

Answer: House at the End of the Street

"House at the End of the Street" was a psychological thriller starring Jennifer Lawrence and Max Thieriot. Ryan (Thieriot) whose parents were the ones who had been murdered, lived in the house on his own. His sister, who was thought by the locals to have killed her parents, had disappeared and they thought she had drowned in the lake, but there was more to this story than met the eye.

Answer: Silent House

"Silent House" was a psychological horror film which starred Elizabeth Olsen as Sarah. The house had been vandalised and the uncle had to drive to town to get tools to fix the electricity. Sarah had only a torch to search the house and her
father was playing wicked games with her. So followed a lot of tense moments as she tried to find out what was going on. It turned out to be her worst nightmare.

Answer: The Woman in Black

"The Woman in Black", in my opinion, was the best horror movie to come out for a very long time. Arthur Kipps, played by the brilliant Daniel Radcliffe, had lost his wife in childbirth and had a young son to take care of. He was sent to Eel Marsh House to examine the papers of the late Alice Drablow, who turned out to be the vengeful ghost of a very sad, disturbed woman who wasn't allowed to look after her own son.

Answer: The Resident

"The Resident" was a creepy, shivers down your back sort of movie. The landlord played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, was not what he seemed and had some chilling pastimes. When Juliet became suspicious, she installed cameras in her apartment and what eventually followed was a fight to the death.

Answer: Mama

"Mama" was a creepy but yet poignant story of two little girls, left to fend for themselves in a secluded cabin for five years. After a long search they were found but they had been living like wild animals and one of them still walked on all fours. Someone or something had been looking after them and when their uncle and his partner took them in the little girls still called out for Mama!

Answer: Byzantium

"Byzantium" was about a mother and daughter who were vampires. Their story started in Napoleonic times and as they lived on human blood, they were on the run. Two centuries later they hook up with a hapless soul who had just inherited the Byzantium Hotel and the mother turned it into a house of ill repute.
