Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. She was the first (real) Bond Girl in 1962, and she followed it with a performance as a Bond Girl in a 1967 spoof. Who was she?

Answer: Ursula Andress

'Casino Royale' was the 1967 spoof with David Niven as 'Sir' James Bond - not really a proper Bond film.
'Never Say Never Again' was a Sean Connery film, where he returned to play Bond in the early 1980s. But he got into all sorts of grief over licensing. That and the fact that the story was identical to 'Thunderball' - not a proper Bond film either, but I'm sure he made a lot of money from it.
2. Honor Blackman positively purred as the hilariously-named Pussy Galore in 1964's 'Goldfinger', but in which TV series did she also star?

Answer: The Avengers

Honor Blackman starred with Patrick McNee in 'The Avengers'. Curiously, over 20 years later Patrick McNee was in the 1985 Bond film 'A View To A Kill'.
Diana Rigg, also in 'The Avengers', later appeared in 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' with George Lazenby.
3. Excluding spoofs and unlicensed films, who was the first actress to be a Bond girl twice?

Answer: Maud Adams

Maud Adams was in 'The Man With The Golden Gun' (1973) and 'Octopussy' (1983). Ursula Andress was in 'Dr. No' (1962)and 'Casino Royale' (1967), but the latter was a spoof and therefore excluded.
4. She was top KGB agent Anya Amasova in 'The Spy Who Loved Me', but which ex-Beatle did she marry?

Answer: Ringo Starr

A relatively easy one this, she became Barbara Bach Starkey. She apparently didn't consider a role alongside Ringo's narration for 'Thomas The Tank Engine'.
5. Who played Solitaire in 'Live And Let Die'?

Answer: Jane Seymour

Oh how the mighty have fallen. To think that 'Live And Let Die' isn't a patch on 'Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman'.
6. She was the longest-running 'Bond Girl', even though their love remained unrequited. Only Desmond Llewellyn was in more Bond films. Who was she?

Answer: Lois Maxwell

A sort of a trick question, because she's never really listed as a Bond Girl. Lois Maxwell (the second Miss Moneypenny) was traded in for a younger model from 'The Living Daylights' onwards.
7. She was a babe with a bow and arrow, and drove a yellow Citroen 2CV. Who was she?

Answer: Melina Havelock

Carole Bouquet played the role in 1981's 'For Your Eyes Only'.
In the short story from which the film title is taken, Havelock avenged the brutal murder of her parents with a hunting bow, beating Bond to the kill.
8. Izabella Scorupko was the gorgeous Bond Girl in 'Goldeneye' - the real love interest, rather than the one night stand. What nationality is she originally?

Answer: Polish

Born in Bialystok in Poland, Izabella was actually brought up in Sweden.
'Goldeneye' and 'Vertical Limit' (2000) were the only main occasions in the following three years that she was seen outside of Polish film. A definite loss for all mankind (in the West anyway).
9. Which pair are the odd ones out?

Answer: Timothy Dalton and Talissa Soto

Timothy Dalton and Talissa Soto is the only correct pairing of 007 and Bond Babe, from 1989's 'Licence to Kill'.
In only her second film, Talisa Soto (Lupe Lamora) was in competition throughout the film for Bond's affections with Carey Lowell (Pam Bouvier), only to actually lose out at the end. After that, she beefed up her competitive edge with roles in the three 'Mortal Kombat' films.
10. Her most famous roles are as a Bond Girl and the lover of a Scottish Revolutionary. Who is she?

Answer: Sophie Marceau

Whilst all the others have been Bond Girls, the link is of course to 'Braveheart' (1995).
