Played by Jaime Pressly, the "nasty cheerleader" Priscilla is Jake's girlfriend, but her first action in the movie is to request from Jake some "T-to-the-fourth-power-Y" (some "time to talk to you") in order that she can tell him she leaving him for someone else she met over spring break.

Principal Cornish, played by George Wyner, says this in his office as he is welcoming new student Areola (played by Cerina Vincent) to the school. It doesn't seem strange to him that Areola is wearing no clothes, however Janey, who has been asked to show Areola to her first class, is clearly quite shocked by this as she comes into the office.

Jake knocks on Janey's door declaring that he is taking her to Preston Wasserstein's big party. Janey protests that she is "not dressed to go to a party", upon which Jake's sister Catherine (played by Mia Kirshner) appears with a large vanity box ready to give Janey a makeover. She proceeds to remove Janey's glasses and release her ponytail, then makes her self-praising declaration.

As Janey makes an emotional exit from Preston Wasserstein's party after Priscilla deliberately spills bottled water onto her (not a major problem, as Janey has just jumped into the swimming pool!) a character credited as 'Slow Clapper' (played by Kyle Cease) tries to start a slow clap.

He is advised by a party-goer (played by Melissa Joan Hart that you "have to wait for the right moment" to start a slow clap, evoking the given response from Slow Clapper. The "right moment" presents itself at the end of the movie, but Slow Clapper's chance to shine is taken from him as Ricky kicks off the deserved slow clap.

Despite being "the most popular boy in high school", Jake Wyler (played by Chris Evans) finds it hard to put his feelings into words, as shown during this scene in which he stumbles through various cliched phrases, as well as badly quote Matthew Wilder lyrics, when asking Janey to prom.

Despite his awkwardness, his approach works, as Janey says "I'd love to go with you", much to the dismay of Ricky, who is totally obsessed with Janey.

Answer: The Wise Janitor

We first see the Wise Janitor (played by Mr T of "The A Team" fame) in the background during the earlier football practice scene. During the actual football game, he gives a rousing pep talk to fourth string quarterback Jake, who Coach has called on to win the game as he is "the only quarterback I've got left" after the other quarterbacks have all got injured. Unfortunately his wise words don't have the desired affect, as Jake ends up throwing an awful pass that goes out of bounds and knocks Reggie Ray off a stretcher.

Answer: Austin

Austin (played by Eric Christian Olsen) confronts Jake after the football game whilst he is talking to Janey, accuses him of ruining his football season, and then declares he wants to get payback, suggesting that he might tell Janey a little secret. He then whispers in Janey's ear, clearly causing Janey to become upset, thereby evoking Jake into confessing that he has made a bet to turn Janey into prom queen.

When Janey says "What bet?", Austin says "I never said anything about a bet", followed by "All I said was, 'I'm pretending to whisper a big secret in your ear, so Jake here thinks that I'm telling you a big secret, which will cause him to break into a hysterical confession where he actually reveals... a big secret. Thus confirming everything I just whispered in your ear.'"

Answer: Malik

During the prom scene, Janey leaves with Austin, causing newly-crowned Prom King Jake to rush after them, breaking off from his celebratory dance with newly-crowned Prom Queens Kara and Sara Fratelli. He bumps into Malik (played by Deon Richmond) in the lobby, and asks if he knows where Austin went. Malik follows his rather basic information with "Room Number 6 ... it's the one right past the ice dispenser ... if you hit the Pepsi machine you went too far".

As Jake is about to leave the prom to find Janey, Ricky (played by Eric Jungmann) stops him and the two have a conversation about how they both love Janey. They both realise that they need to get to Janey first to confess their love, and so both make a dash for the door. Jake opens and goes out the centre set of doors, however the left hand set of doors that Ricky chooses don't open, causing him to make his comments of frustration.

Answer: Ox

A clearly upset Catherine bumps into Ox (played by Sam Huntington) at a drinks table at the prom. She emotionally advises Ox that she would like to meet a nice, sensitive guy, before going on to advise Ox of other "qualities" she is looking for in her man. An initially nervous Ox steps realises that he can fulfil this lady's needs, causing Catherine to ask "Would you be that guy?" to which Ox provides this most mature of responses.
