Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Your flesh will crawl right off your bones." What film is this tagline referring to?

Answer: Creepozoids

A group of survivors of a nuclear war hide in a government funded facility. This facility experiments on alien life forms by adding amino acids in their DNA. This experiment results in alien creatures that attack the survivors. They kill them by injecting amino acids into their bloodstreams, causing their flesh to melt off their bones. '80s scream queen Linnea Quigley is featured as one of the survivors.

This film was released in 1987.
2. "Tonight she will love again and kill again." Identify the film this tagline is describing.

Answer: Evil Spawn

An aging actress is rejected for film roles. In a fit of desperation, she has a scientist inject a serum into her. The serum, created from space microbes, turns her into a human size bug alien. As she makes love to her detractors, she transforms into the bug creature and kills them one after another. Bobbie Bresee portrays Lynn Roman, the fading starlet. Horror vet John Carradine shows up in a brief role as the scientist.

This 1987 release was shown in Grindhouse theaters briefly, then sent to video. Leonard Maltin's movie and video guide credits this as a semi remake of "The Wasp Woman."
3. "Killer to the left... Killer to the right... Stand up... Sit down... Fright! Fright! Fright!" Identify the film this tagline belongs to.

Answer: Return to Horror High

Cosmic Pictures, a low budget film company, shoots a film at a high school. This school was the sight of bloody murders years ago. The killer involved strikes again during the filming. He slaughters the whole cheerleading squad as well as the film staff. George Clooney is featured in an early role as Oliver, a cop (he's the first victim that's dispatched). Vince Edwards plays Richard Burnham, a mean teacher (he's killed as well).

This 1987 release is a featured clip in the film documentary "Going to Pieces: The Rise and fall of the Slasher Film."
4. "A campfire legend of flesh eating terror!" Identify the film this tagline belongs to.

Answer: Berserker

A group of adults is camping in the woods. Not too far by a Viking warrior, "The Berserker", kills the group off savagely and consumes their flesh. '70s porn star George Buck Flower plays Pappy Yaquis. This film is a 1987 release.
5. "It must be seen to be believed." Identify the film this tagline belongs to.

Answer: Winterbeast

Possessed totem poles bump off the residents of a wintry town. People viewing this film claims it lives up to its tagline. I've never seen this one. Apparently it's an experience you'll never forget! Originally released to video, this 1993 flick premiered at a Grindhouse film festival before going to video.
6. "They were cursed to eternal life at the cost of their souls!" Identify the film this tagline belongs to.

Answer: Don't go Near the Park

During the Prehistoric age, members of a tribe are caught messing with the secret to eternal life. They cannibalize their own tribe. As punishment, they are cursed with the gift of immortality. They are sent to present day LA. The only way they can get their everlasting youth back is harvesting the soul of a female virgin on her sixteenth birthday. Scream queen Linnea Quigley has an early film role as the mother of the girl to be harvested. '50s war film vet Aldo Ray shows up as Taft, a streetwise cop. This 1981 release is so bad it's good, and very odd.
7. "First "The Omen"... Now "The Redeemer". Identify the film this tagline belongs to?

Answer: Class Reunion Massacre

"The Redeemer", is a deranged preacher. He sends six adults invitations to their own high school reunion. He sets this reunion up to punish them. They've committed sins in their past. When they arrive, he sets traps up and they are all killed off. This preacher sets their "final judgment" up. T.G. Finkbinder is "The Redeemer." This 1978 release is an experience to behold. Mixing the standard slasher concepts with religious imagery makes for unsettling viewing. I highly recommend this lost gem if you find it.
8. "Her power goes beyond life... his rage survives even death." Identify the film this tagline belongs to.

Answer: Zombie Nightmare

A voodoo priestess resurrects an innocent man's corpse. A group of head banging teenagers run this man over and kill him. He comes back as a zombie who gets his revenge on the careless teens. Jon Mikl Thor plays Tony Washington, the innocent man. Adam West of "Batman" fame plays Capt. Tom Churchman, a crooked cop. You'll hear Motorhead's hit song "Ace Of Spades" in this film. This 1986 release achieved some popularity on "Mystery Science Theater 3000."
9. "The rising moon creates a monster." Identify the film this tagline belongs to.

Answer: Track of the Moon Beast

A man gets a piece of meteor lodged in his skull during a meteor storm. This transforms him into a giant lizard monster. He only attacks during the night when the moon has risen. In the morning he's human again. This 1976 release had a popular run on "Mystery Science Theater 3000." This flick is boring yet hilariously bad at the same time.
10. "Gremlins" chased you... "Ghoulies" terrified you... Now beg for your life..." Identify the film this tagline belongs to.

Answer: Spookies

A group of travelers miss a right turn and end up trapped in a house. This house possesses creatures similar to "Gremlins" and "Ghoulies". A sorcerer causes these beings to appear in the house and dispatch the travelers. He needs their blood to restore life to his future bride.

This house has one heck of an ensemble of demonic characters! Wait till you see the muck men who fart! Felix Ward plays Kreon the sorcerer. This is a 1986 film release.
