"Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" is the first film in a series of seven films about a boy wizard starring Daniel Radcliffe as the titular character, based on the books by British author J.K. Rowling.

Shrek is to rescue a princess from a dragon-guarded tower, in order for her to become Lord Farquaad's wife. Shrek does this so as to rid himself of all the fairy tale creatures that have invaded his swamp to hide from Lord Farquaad's soldiers. Farquaad tortures the Gingerbread Man for information as to where the creatures are hiding.

Bartleby (Ben Affleck) and Loki (Matt Damon) are angels cast down from heaven who are attempting to exploit a loophole in order to return back to heaven. Doing so will destroy all existence. The last relative of Christ (Linda Fiorentino), together with two prophets, Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) as well as the 13th Apostle (Chris Rock) are sent by Metatron (Alan Rickman) to try and stop them. Alanis Morissette puts in a performance as God. The movie was denounced as blasphemy by the The Catholic League.

Answer: Sleepy Hollow

"Sleepy Hollow" is one of many films starring Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton. It is based on the story written by Washington Irving, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" published in 1820. Johnny Depp stars as Ichabod Crane, a police constable, who arrives in the town of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of killings where all the victims have had their heads removed.

He is aided in his investigation by Katrina van Tassel (Christina Ricci). He discovers that the killings are the work of The Headless Horsemen who is being controlled by Katrina's mother, Lady van Tassel (Miranda Richardson).

Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) is a vacuous male model who is struggling in the industry as a new model, Hansel (Owen Wilson) is stealing the limelight from him. Fashion designer Mugatu (Will Ferrell), brainwashes Zoolander into becoming an assassin in order to assassinate the Prime Minister of Malaysia so that he can retain the right to use cheap child labour in that country. Zoolander, Hansel and a journalist Matilda (Stiller's real life wife, Christine Taylor) thwart Mugatu's plans.

The merman scene takes place in Zoolander's hometown where he attempted to work in the mines with his father and siblings. The commercial comes on tv with Zoolander wearing a merman tail, saying "water is the essence of wetness, and wetness is the essence of beauty". To which his father says "You're dead to me, son. You're even more dead to me than your dead mother."

Answer: Magician

"Beetlejuice" is a Tim Burton movie, starring Michael Keaton as the titular character. A dead couple, the Maitlands (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis) are haunting their old home when it is sold to a new family. They try, unsuccessfully to scare away the new inhabitants to no avail.

The couple then hires Betelgeuse, a very nasty, immoral ghost for his expertise as a "bio-exorcist". The daughter of the new owners of the home, Lydia (Winona Ryder), is able to see the couple and they become friends. Betelgeuse convinces Lydia to marry him, a condition of him saving the Maitlands from an exorcism, in order for him to run riot in the living world.

The Maitlands save Lydia and dispose of Betelgeuse and everyone lives in harmony in the home.
