Answer: Barry Fitzgerald

Barry Fitzgerald was born in Dublin. His film debut was under the direction of Alfred Hitchcock. He won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, in 1944, for his role in "Going My Way". He was also nominated for Best Actor for the same role. Harry Albershart played cowboy and western star Allan Rocky Lane.

He later went on to play the voice of Mr. Ed. Albert Berry performed the first recorded parachute jump. Arthur Shields starred in other movies with John Wayne such as "She Wore A Yellow Ribbon".

Sean and Mary Kate do kiss in the cemetery, but their first kiss takes place in his cottage. He finds a fire burning in his cottage and realizes someone is there. He tosses a stone through the window and howls. Mary Kate then runs out from her hiding spot and he grabs her. In fact, she kisses him a second time before she leaves his cottage.

Arthur Shields is Barry Fitzgerald's real-life brother. He had notable appearances in such television shows as "Maverick", "Rawhide", "Bonanza" and played Dr. O'Laughlin in "She Wore A Yellow Ribbon". His brother, Barry Fitzgerald, was born William Joseph Shields.

Answer: Victor McLaglen

Victor McLaglen also starred in "She Wore A Yellow Ribbon" along side John Wayne, Maureen O'Hara and Arthur Shields. He was nominated for best supporting actor for his role as Will Danaher. Victor McLaglen played a detective captain named T.R. McKinley in the 1932 movie "Guilty as Hell". Orvon Autry is actually cowboy and western star Gene Autry's given first and last name. John Ford cast his older brother Francis Ford as Dan Tobin. He played the white-bearded elderly man who refused to die before witnessing the big fist fight. Francis was a silent film actor and director.

He played alongside John Wayne in "She Wore A Yellow Ribbon" as Connelly, the fort's bartender. Ironically he is present to see the big fight in this movie as well.
8. What is Father Lonergan's first name?

Answer: Peter

Ward Bond played the role of Catholic Father Peter Lonergan. He worked alongside John Wayne in many other films including "The Searchers".
9. What country did Sean's grandfather die in?

Answer: Australia

Sean's father died in Australia in a penal colony. This is said when Father Lonergan approaches Sean and Michaeleen while along the road. Michaeleen introduces Sean and Father Lonergan recalls baptizing him. He asks about Sean's mother and recalls his grandfather dying in the penal colony.

Answer: 12

Sean was only twelve when his mother passed away. She was a widowed, and hard working immigrant mother. His father had passed away. We learn Sean went on to work in the steel factories, before his boxing career, during his discussion with the Widow Tillane.
