Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the secret identity of the super-hero known as Rat Pfink?

Answer: Lonnie Lord

The 'mysterious masked nemesis of hoodlums & racketeers the world over', Lonnie was a rather-successful rock 'n' roll singer. Rat Pfink/Lonnie Lord was played by rock 'n' roller Ron Haydock, who used the name of Vin Saxon. Ron and his band the Boppers performed most of the music in the movie. Unfortunately, Ron died in a car accident in the early eighties.
2. Titus Twimbley was Rat Pfink's loyal sidekick and 'scourge of the underworld', Boo Boo. What was Titus's regular job when he wasn't wearing a stocking cap, boxer shorts and Christmas lights?

Answer: A gardener

The bumbling but dedicated crime-fighter worked as a gardener for Cee Bee Beaumont's father. Boo Boo/Titus Twimbley was portrayed by Titus Moede, who had worked in several other movies directed by Ray Dennis Steckler. They included "The Thrill-Killers" (1965), where he got to shoot the bad guy dead.
3. Linc, a member of the Chain Gang, cased out Cee Bee Beaumont and her house. To what grocery store did he trail her when she went out for a walk?

Answer: Blue Chip Markets

Cee Bee (Carolyn Brandt) had been forced to walk because Titus hadn't gone to get Cee Bee's car from the repair shop. Her father said that he would collect it.
4. Early in the movie, Lonnie Lord was treading down the Hollywood Walk of Fame. What big band leader's star did he walk over?

Answer: Russ Morgan

Lonnie passed over the stars of rock 'n' roller Gene Vincent and actor James Arness as well, and went by the Capitol Records building. Like most of Ray Dennis Steckler's movies, this one was shot on a shoestring budget (reportedly $8,000) in Hollywood and the surrounding hills. Steckler always seemed to love showing the distinctive scenery of Hollywood in his movies.
5. How much was the ransom that the Chain Gang demanded for the safe return of Cee Bee Beaumont?

Answer: $50,000

For three psychotic punks, at least Linc, Benjy and Hammer set their sights fairly high. Anxious for some more cash and some nefarious action, they picked Cee Bee's name at random from the new Los Angeles Exchange telephone book. Luckily for them she had a wealthy boyfriend in the form of Lonnie Lord. Even more luckily for her, Lonnie was ready to tackle the crooks as the crime-fighting Rat Pfink.
The three thugs were portrayed by George Caldwell, James Bowie and Mike Kannon.
6. According to Rat Pfink, what exactly was this dynamic duo's only weakness?

Answer: Bullets

At least it was a weakness we can all identify with. This line was the real point when the audience realized that the movie had taken a turn for the sillier. The movie was originally set-up to be a thriller called "The Depraved", again centered around the Chain Gang.

After shooting about 40% of it, Ray Dennis Steckler wasn't all that happy with the results and suggested his two protagonists jump out of a closet dressed as Batman and Robin. Rat Pfink and Boo Boo appeared, commented on the bullets, and the course of the film changed completely and probably for the better.
7. The black case that supposedly contained the ransom money, was actually filled with magazines. Which of the following magazines was NOT inside the case?

Answer: Rat Pfink and Boo-Boo comic book

The two caped crusaders had left the case in a dumpster as directed by the Chain Gang. No one bothered to check it until it was driven back to the spot they were holding Cee Bee (in reality - Ray Dennis Steckler's backyard). Naturally, that allowed our heroes to follow them right there.
While this comic book wasn't in the ransom case, there was a "Morgan & Steckler's Rat Pfink & Boo Boo" comic book seen during the closing montage over the "Go-Go Party" song. I think it was just a mocked-up cover and believe me, I've searched for the darn thing.
8. Who was the director of "Rat Pfink A Boo Boo" (1966)?

Answer: Ray Dennis Steckler

Ray Dennis Steckler often acted in the movies he directed, using the name Cash Flagg - inspired by comments made about his propensity for demanding cash up front from people. He was also married to former dancer Carolyn Brandt, who portrayed Cee Bee Beaumont in this movie and starred in many of Steckler's other films. FYI: Tom Scherman was the man responsible for the films titles, including the misspelled film title card that Steckler could not afford to have reprocessed.

The film was supposed to be titled "Rat Pfink and Boo Boo". Dennis Kesdakian is the real name of Atlas King, who was featured in Steckler's "The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies" and "The Thrill Killers".
9. According to the narrator, what does Rat Pfink - in his secret identity - carry with him everywhere?

Answer: His guitar

Lonnie Lord, who sold over ten million records the previous year, carried his guitar everywhere, because he never knew when he'd be called upon to sing.
10. What was Rat Pfink and Boo Boo's inspirational battle cry?

Answer: Fight crime!

The dynamic duo would shout their adage at their enemies, and used it to inspire children during the many parades and birthday parties they attended. These caped crusaders appeared in many parade segments at the start and end of the film, which Steckler filmed during actual parades in Hollywood and the surrounding areas.
