The robot immediately responds. Charlie's faithful assistant is able to adjust the voice recognition input to English.

Max makes a desperate attempt to persuade Charlie to take an under card fight. The idea is to simply give Noisy Boy a test in the ring. Unfortunately, Charlie is stubborn and insists upon a fight in the main event against the reigning champion, Midas. Even though Noisy Boy makes a good showing, Charlie's poor command sequences allow Midas to take command of the battle. Noisy Boy is practically completely destroyed in the process.

Max experiences a harrowing experience and Charlie saves Max. During the traumatic event, Max is saved from a perilous plummet into a deep precipice by an extended robotic arm. Max wants to save the robot and uncovers the remains. As it turns out, the robot is an old sparring partner named Atom. Atom can receive a great deal of punishment but is lacking in attacking ability.

Unable to get even a modest loan for building a new robot, Charlie concedes to Max's wishes for a test bout. The only viable venue is a last resort for aging robots called the Zoo. It is run by unsavory characters, yet money is to be made for competitions. Max enters Atom into a contest after some crafty negotiations. Max stumbles at first and takes considerable damage.

However, Max quickly learns how to manipulate his robot along with the valuable advice of Charlie. Atom not only survives two rounds, but he also defeats the current champion of the Zoo.

Max performs a little dance with his robot before each bout, which enhances the quality of the show. It is something that Max was reluctant to do but Charlie convinces Max that it would be an additional lure and add flair to the show.

In its first professional appearance, Max's robot is scheduled to battle a robot with two heads. The impressive looking robot is named Twin Cities. Its two heads give it a greater peripheral vision capability. Early on in the bout, Max's robot is at a disadvantage. Charlie uses his previous boxing experience to discover a small chink in the opponent. Utilizing this information, Max's robot perseveres and wins the bout in a spectacular fashion. Later, Max gives a heart-rendering speech which engages the hearts and minds of the viewing public.

Answer: Zeus

The ruler of robots, the mighty Zeus is the undisputed, undefeated champion of the World Robot Boxing League. Max made his own robot a sentimental favorite and the crowd is with him in this respect. Zeus initially dominates the encounter, but Max's robot is practically indomitable.

After receiving ferocious punishment, Max's robot is no longer able to receiver verbal commands. So, Charlie takes over as a shadow boxer for Max's robot. The technique works enough to allow Max's robot to go the full five rounds.

The judges score a narrow victory on points for Zeus, but Max's robot becomes the people's champion.
