Answer: Levelheaded and sensible

Frank (played by Bruce Willis) does not believe Marvin (played by John Malkovich) is dead and tells Sarah (played by Mary-Louise Parker) he does this all of the time. He takes the straight pin out of Marvin's boutonniere and stabs his hand several times but Marvin does not flinch. During the eulogy, Frank actually says Marvin was paranoid, not levelheaded and sensible.

He goes on to explain that paranoia seems reasonable if the CIA had given you LSD every day for over ten years as they had done to Marvin.

The Moldova statement is a connection back to the original 2010 movie that ended with Frank, Marvin, and Sarah in Moldova being chased by Moldovan forces.

Answer: China doll

When Frank and Marvin escape from the Yankee White facility, Sarah is waiting for them in the car. Frank is mad because he told her to stay in the safe house but Marvin went and got her. Sarah says Frank has been treating her like a china doll and she is tired of it.

She says things were getting a little stale to which Marvin remarks, "Mommy just slapped daddy at the dinner table." Later on Sarah and Frank are talking when she tells him he belongs in the spy game and Marvin says, "Pussy cat is right Frank." Finally, Marvin had given Sarah a loaded hand gun which went off because she thought it had a safety and he tells Marvin, "You don't give fire to a kitty."

Answer: His looks

Marvin specifically tells Frank that Sarah is not with him for his looks but for the adventure, romance, and danger of it all. Frank has been trying to protect Sarah so that nothing bad can happen to her but Marvin points out that she is with Frank for the thrill of it all, not because he is a normal guy. By trying to be a normal guy he is hurting his relationship with Sarah.

When Frank tries to send Sarah away she would have none of it because she wants to be a part of the action.

Ninety-six hours earlier, Marvin picked up chatter that Frank and he had been linked to a Cold War operation called Nightshade but neither of them can recall the mission. Sarah asks a question that points out the irony that they are now being hunted for information everyone thinks Frank and Marvin know but that they do not know.

Operation Condor is a reference to the 1975 spy thriller "Three Days of the Condor" starring Robert Redford and Faye Dunaway, "The Ipcress File" is a 1965 British spy thriller starring Michael Caine, and "The Eiger Sanction" is a 1975 Clint Eastwood spy thriller.

Answer: A kidnapped senior director of military intelligence

Marvin tells Sarah and Frank he has a senior director of military intelligence marinating in the trunk. When Frank asks how he is marinating him Marvin says with several acids. It is from this man that they learn about an operation called Nightshade which was a plan by a rogue US general during the Cold War to sneak a nuke into Moscow.

They also find out Edward Bailey was the scientist on the operation, a man they had protected in Moscow back in the day but who got killed on their watch.

Answer: A folded piece of paper

Han Cho Bai (played by Byung-hun Lee) is summoned to a meeting with a businessman but first he is strip searched to confirm he has no weapons and then given a robe before he is allowed to meet with the businessman. While in the meeting Han folds up a piece of paper the man hands to him into a sharp pointed implement and he uses that to kill the man. Even though there are cameras on the meeting, security cannot tell that the man has been killed and Han escapes.

Answer: Sarah

Katya (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones) is a Russian counter-espionage agent with whom Frank had an affair in the past. She joins the team to capture The Frog, a spy who sells information to the highest bidder. Once The Frog is captured Katya and Frank begin to torture him to get the information they want but he refuses to give them anything. Finally Sarah befriends The Frog and gets them to stop torturing him.

He likes Sarah and says he will give the information to her.

Answer: Exploding bullets

Edward Bailey (played by Anthony Hopkins) is an expert in making neutron bombs, particle beam weapons, and nerve gas but exploding bullets are never mentioned. Marvin says his nerve gas was especially impressive. Although Marvin and Frank thought Bailey died under their care, they find out he is still alive and being held in an MI6 ICE (Incarcerate Cannot Execute) facility in London.

He has been a prisoner for 32 years.

Answer: Edward Bailey

Although Edward Bailey seems to be not in his right mind when Frank and Victoria (played by Helen Mirren) first meet him in his cell, we learn later on that he is the mastermind behind the leaking of the information. He leaked it so Frank and Marvin would come looking for him and he could escape custody to seek revenge on the governments of the world for incarcerating him and killing his wife and son.

Answer: Iranian Embassy

After retrieving the red mercury in Moscow, Bailey makes a deal with Jack Horton (played by Neal McDonough), the CIA officer who has been chasing Frank and Marvin since the beginning of the movie. Horton double crosses Bailey and takes him into custody.

They then fly off from Russia in a US transport. Bailey uses some nerve gas he has hidden in his shoe to escape from the cage on the transport and take over the plane. He allows Horton to live so he can plant him in the Iranian Embassy in London where he plans to detonate the bomb.
