Nandi was played by Dudu Mkhize. Sitayi was the old witch woman who gave Shaka his name, played by Nomosa Xaba. Fiona Fullerton played Lt. Francis Farwell's wife, Elizabeth. And the word 'Amazulu' means 'people of the heavens'.

Senzagakona was portrayed by Conrad Maqwaza. Christopher Lee played Lord Bathurst, and Jama was portrayed by Sam Williams. Getshwayo was a king in the 1979 movie 'Zulu Dawn,' portrayed by the same man who played Dingiswayo in this one.

'Shaka Zulu: The Citadel' I have yet to see, but I have read that the scheduled release date was sometime in 2001, starring Henry Cele as Shaka again.
