Bette Davis won the award in 1935 for her role in the film "Dangerous" and 1938 for "Jezebel" and has been nominated in the category ten times. Ingrid Bergman won in 1944 for "Gaslight" and in 1956 for "Anastasia". Vivien Leigh won in 1939 for "Gone with the Win" and in 1951 for "A Streetcar Named Desire".
