So many CGI robots, so much Shia LeBoeuf. This series revolved around the Autobots and Decepticons - conflicting robot sects from a distant galaxy who have landed on Earth and continued their war.

The first three films in the franchise; "Transformers", "Transformers 2: Rise of the Fallen", and "Transformers 3: Dark Side of the Moon" grossed $2.7 billion dollars worldwide.

Answer: Battleship

The movie "Battleship" actually had little to do with the board game. The plot involved a fleet of military ships encountering and then battling a mysterious alien army.

Starring Rhianna, Liam Neeson and Dennis Quaid, the movie was a disappointment at the box office in relation to its estimated $220 million dollar budget. Sadly, it didn't even grace us with the amazing tag line "You sunk my battleship!".

Answer: G.I. Joe

"G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" was released in 2009 and its sequel, "G.I. Joe: Retalliation" was released in 2013, and has starred the likes of Bruce Willis, The Rock, and Dennis Quaid.

The films don't redefine the original concept as G.I. Joe is tasked with attempting to stop Cobra from completing acts of terrorism like destroying the Eiffel Tower and blowing up central London with a horrible Doomsday weapon. Yo Joe!

Answer: Garbage Pail Kids

The "Garbage Pail Kids" were known for their gross out names (like Valerie Vomit and Foul Phil) and hilarious illustrations. "The Garbage Pail Kids Movie" was virtually ignored at the box office and involved the Garbage Pail Kids helping out a bullied 14-year old and trying to prevent themselves from being discovered by the general public.

Answer: Dungeons and Dragons

"Dungeons and Dragons" was released in 2000 and starred Marlon Wayons and Jeremy Irons. In the film, Profion (Irons) attempts to use magic to control dragons and overthrow an empress and seize power over her kingdom. The film was much-maligned for its elementary story and failure to pay real homage to the spirit of "D&D". Needless to say, no theatrical sequel was ever released.

Answer: Kit Kittredge: An American Girl

"American Girl" dolls were originally aimed to teach young girls about various important points in American history. By 1995, the dolls were expanded to include contemporary era dolls.

The movie focused on Kit Kittredge, a girl in the pre-world war two era who was determined to become a newspaper reporter.

Answer: Care Bears

Sunshine Bear, Cheer Bear, and Funshine Bear were just some of the gang to star in the animated feature films "Care Bears Movie" (1984), "Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation" (1986) and "Care Bears Movie III: Adventure in Wonderland" (1987). In the films, the Care Bears are pitted against villains such as Nicholas the magician's apprentice, Dark Heart, and an Evil Wizard who were all trying to rid the world of all caring.

Remember that they could shoot light out of their bellies? Care Bear Stare!

Answer: Clue

The film "Clue" grossed only $14.6 million dollars and was considered a huge financial flop. The likes of Professor Plum and Colonel Mustard haven't graced the silver screen since. The film introduced the non-game character of the Butler, who acted as a central figure in this multiple-ending story of blackmail and murder. Hilarious, I know!

Answer: Masters of the Universe

Dolph Lundgren portrayed He-Man in "Masters of the Universe". The movie ultimately failed, as audiences didn't buy into the tale of "He-Man" crossing over from his universe into ours. The film failed to capture the colourful characters the toys and the animated series had to offer.

The movie made about $10 million dollars, making it a huge disaster on a number of fronts. The dolls were considered a significant and unique step away from traditional Barbie dolls, but the movie was more traditional and lazy than most teen films.
