Will Smith's character, Lucifer, as Pearly's boss makes him mortal so that he can then fight Peter in an area he was previously forbidden from.

In the film Dr. Omalu battles with the National Football League (NFL) who try to suppress his research that shows that players are at a very high risk to get CTE and suffer brain degeneration. Along with others, Dr. Omalu's findings prompted the NFL to undertake additional player safety measures especially concerning head trauma and concussions.
